Powerball=$300 million
Jack's jackpot was $314.9 million. Any Gold or Platinum member can get the jackpot history of any game in our database, and you can sort by jackpot size to see the highest jackpots for that game.For example, you can go to the Powerball Jackpot History page, and click the Jackpot heading to sort that column in descending order. (Sorting is available to Gold and Platinum members only.)

Powerball=$300 million
My cousin is a clerk for a BP station near the AL TN border and the line has over 70 people with most of them buying atleast $5 on Powerball. Some people buying as many as $500 worth. (Over doing it) Strange thing is the drawing isn't until tomorrow and typically she says when jackpots are high more people come in on Saturday. I think this one might break a record. Or atleast I hope it does.

150 million jump
A 150 million jump is more likely in the game Mega millions because they don't had a match 5 bonus rule like powerball does to cap the growth of jackpots. A roll of 150 million in powerball benefits the match 5 bonus winners more than anyone else.

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
This is a great probability you've shown Prob988. I hope these jackpots continue to spike upward. I hope the PB jackpot rolls into Wednesday as the largest jackpot PB has ever had in their history.

Powerball Lotto Fever
If I was living in Arizona or Oregon, I would be buying Powerball tickets right now. When jackpots are so high, people want to buy these tickets.

How much did you lose playing the lottery
Obviously not enough to teach me a lesson - quit while you're ahead. These high jackpots are like a sugar pile to the ant colony. We just can't stay away. Trek around the world for one small granule. Then come back again for another. Thinking, some day I will be able to carry all the granules in one trip. The worst part? The Queen doesn't even say thanks!

PB=$290 Million
When lotteries first started in the U.S. and there were only a few states that had them, I would read about people taking plane trips to New York or another state with large lottery jackpots, buying a bunch of QPs and returning to their state and distributing them for an increased price. Now days that most states have a major lottery or one in an adjacent state and online ticket services like PTS, that doesn't happens any more.

N.Y. Lottery goes Hollywood
This is an interesting idea. Didn't they have a drawing like this for the new milennium also? Lotteries should have drawings like this more often. Huge instate jackpots that tickets are sold over a certain period of time. I like the increase tickets also. I mean 7 plays for $10 when you can buy 1 for $2. It will be interesting to see how this game turns out.Brad
