Powerball Lottery Jackpot Raised to $240 Million
If you were a Gold or Platinum member, you could see the entire history of the Powerball jackpots (or any game for that matter). Here's the Jackpot History page for Powerball: https://www.lotterypost.com/jackpot-history.asp?i=4

Lucky For Life
Hey I would take it, just minus work alone would suffice. $2 though does influence me to not play frequently however. I was simply saying that with the high expectations of the larger jackpots out there, these smaller ones tend to get over-shadowed a lot. I still play it personally, and would have no problem collecting the dough, and maximizing it's potential. But I know some here are not satisfied with the game. If it was $1 I would definitely play more.

Final Ohio Super Lotto Plus drawing Saturday
The $12M+ is the annuity amount, the actual cash will be about half that. In the recent past jackpots that large have seldom not been won. With the Finale promotion, the amount of tickets sold should be higher than normal making it more likely the jackpot will be won. If that happens then it's business as usual.

Powerball lottery jackpot reaches $205 million
These PowerPlay 5+0 winners are getting the equivalent of a $2 million state jackpot! I remember there have been several discussions on this site about PB and/or MM awarding smaller jackpots to more people rather than a massive jackpot to one person. I think that Powerball has accomplished this while still keeping the huge grand prize intact.

Should criminals collect jackpots?
acronym007 wrote: My question lines more so with ethical issues. I just don't think people are very ethical when it comes to imposing their values on others. Many people are just plain jealous of the people who win lotteries jackpots because they think it's unearned money. They will always come up with some so called ethical BS why some people should have that kind of money, they just can't stand someone being so lucky. RJOh

Should criminals collect jackpots?
acroym007,I agree, the States can impose such rules. Some years back Ohio had a rule that a lottery ticket could only collect an amount equal to a $20M annuity regardless of the jackpot size. When their sales went down, they eliminated that rule, but their sales never came back to the level they were before that rule and their lottery jackpots are a lot smaller these days.RJOh

$500 Million Jackpot!
Records are fun to see but as long as it is worth playing then I will play. I usually start buying tickets around the $100 million mark and increase purchases until it hits. I don't mind 150-200 million jackpots.Brad

The $10 million he won was the cash value and it was free of any taxes. The jackpot was won in Canada where the jackpots are as exactly as advertised.Good luck,Jake
