Simulating the pool for the next draw/s
Concept Every Parameter ( eg Sum) will randomize the pool by using INTERVAL POINTS, meaning each Sum brings range of sums.
The keywords here are ; a parameter(could be Sums, mirrors, standard deviations etc), Randomize and Interval Points. If you think Simulating the pool with 999, 111 rundowns or mirrors, adjacents can give the interval points, then try it.
A/ How do you randomize a data?
B/What's the ideal behind the randomization?
C/ How do you factor in a parameter to propel the

Mathematicians shocked to find pattern in "random" prime numbers
I don't really understand what your question is. You seem to have highlighted the same sequences, then de highlighted those that are not equally spread apart. One of the examples on your table is 857 that also occurs three times but isn't the same distance from any other repeating sequence so it isn't highlighted.
So is the question how is it possible that by random chance these two repeating sequences happen to be equally spread apart? If that's it then the answer is easy. Its called cherry

PA Millionaire Raffle- St. Patrick's Day Edition
I agree, I like the slightly better odds myself, which is why I'm so tempted to buy a few more tix.
But there is a lot of hype about the odds too.
Yes, 500,000 to 4 odds is mathematically the same as 125,000 to 1. But that's only on paper.
To be able to see why I say there's a lot of hype about the odds think of the drawing this way:
In the old days they used to put 100,000 paper lottery tickets in a huge drum, spin it around for a while to mix up the tickets, then they opened the do

Who decides how much the Powerball jackpot should be and how is it figured?
The jackpot comes from a percentage of the sales for each individual drawing. Fifty percent of the ticket sales go into the entire prize pool. From the prize pool, 32.6689 percent funds the jackpot prize and 17.3311 percent is used for the lower-tier priz

Are you ready for the attention?
I got a touch of lotto fever today but that didn't last long. I have a feeling that if my work pool wins we'll be one of those groups that'll be in court for the next 5 years.
We made a last minute, impromptu pool on Friday. 9 of us, 30 tickets (still don't know how that math worked out but whatever).
Found out this morning that we just about tripled our money. That's where the touch of lotto fever kicked in. Everyone decided to roll everything over and buy more tickets. I thought, since

Interesting happening within our lottery-pool at work... no not really
The decision as to what to do - taken out of my hands. Wow has today been a crazed day thus far. One of the 2 senior partners came by as 3 of my co-workers were going berzerk. He (sr. ptnr) scooped up all the lottery tickets and marched into his office (into which I had never been until today - MAN is his office big and fabulous!). 1 by 1 we were each called into the office - he had a preliminary agreement drafted up for us to read - he gave us each the opportunity to pony up the extra 50$, and

Why did they change the Powerball?
My opinion, is that when they change the amount of balls, what they are really trying to do is disrupt the patterns. So far it hasn't worked for them. I personally prefer MM to PB for two reasons.
A) You can play the same wheel with the same amount of lines twice as long or for half the cost with Mega.
B) The bonus ball is much easier to guess in the Mega Millions, thus your chance at the larger prize is much better.
C) You still get a million for 5/5 with Mega.
D) I am not going to

Question Regarding The Odds of The Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle
Hopefully someone smarter than I can answer a question regarding the odds for the Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle and help to settle an argument at the same time.
A little background. Yesterday at work, the members of the pool that I run for the PA Millionaire Raffle were discussing the latest raffle. Someone said The odds are 125,000 to 1 to which another person replied No they're not. Not really And that's when the argument got started.
Assuming all 500,000 tickets are sold, why are the
