The Low Down on the Mega Millions Numbers (Pick 5 Part)
RJOH,
It's made from the last 30MM drawings. The horizontal line 0-8 lists numbers that have been hit 0 times, 1 time, 2x, up to ...... 8x, in the last 30 draws. Believe each number in a column has just as much chance of being picked as any other number in that column, but that may be wrong. Still working on that idea. Hope this helps.

The Low Down on the Mega Millions Numbers (Pick 5 Part)
In spite of my lost, I like the way that graph showed trends of all positions enough to look at all 706 previous drawings the same way before picking my lines for Friday's drawings.

PICK 4,5,6 Cracked - New System
RJOH,
I agree with you. In deed, it's harder to find a good idea or an effective algorithm than a good programmer! This is why so many lotto software are not working in the current market since their idea or algorithm.

Idaho's biggest lottery winner knew he would win
Just a little friendly ribbin' RJOh, to CDanaT's coming up with the $6.93 average winning per ticket.
Obviously to buy even more than a half dozen tickets doesn't guarantee anything; except $12 less in your pocket.

State Lottery questions
Hey dk1421, good forum topic!
I would have to agree with RJOh on this one. State lotteries change and adapt their policies and rules often to their advantage; your better off waiting until your hit by the big one first. Then seek out professional counsel.

Florida Lotto Probability
Thanks RJOh!
My error is that I thought the probability formula is WaysToWin/TotalCombinations. The correct formula is (WaysToWin*WaysToLose)/TotalCombinations. The Permutations and Combinations code I put up are correct and this is the corrected table, now just like RJOh:
Odds
Hits Picks to Hit Ways to Win Ways to Lose Total Combinations
0 2.1 1 10737573 22957480
1 2.5 6 1533939 22957480
2 8.6 15 178365 22957480
3 70.8 20 16215 22957480
4 1415.8 15 1081 229574

Is it possible to tell
Agree 100% RJOh....
For the most part, I don't mind sharing stuff I'm working on, or charts that I have. Occasionally, I'll do a quick rewrite, but danged if I am going to spend an hour or more to answer a question anyone with a pencil and paper could figure out.

Why not try it?
True, RJOH, but the really sharp operatoes know that the degenerate gambler has to have somebody to blame it (the losses) on, and they know that is what they're really providing.
It is a huge business.
