Why do some people feel computerized drawings are not random?
I am new to this board and have been reading some old threads. I can make a random number generator on my excel spreadsheet that I am 99% certain is random. Why can't a person with basic programming skills make a random number generator that does as is programmed? I don't understand why people say that these computerized generators have some sort of memory. What does that exactly mean? Also, how do I do a search of these forums? I don't see a search button.

lottery being taken over by computerized draws
The power is in numbers. If people were to start buying less in the staes with computerized drawings, it will reverse itself. But if the people don't do anything it will never happen. The players who play these games have the power in their hands.....!!!! Help spread the word>>>>> Computerized Drawings should be banned..!!!

Georgia Lottery sets sales record with $3.4 billion sales
I have certainly contributed to this record..... The Georgia Lottery conducts its daily drawings using real, traditional lottery drawing equipment, not computerized drawings . Thank you Georgia lottery- for not going computerized.

Hackers & the lottery...
I have seen all those statements by computerized lotteries. To any good programmer it really BS, because any code inserted into the process would be hidden until it needs to operate, and then it would delete itself. There is a simple fact about computerized drawings: there is absolutely NO WAY to be 100% sure that it is not rigged. On the other hand, traditional lottery drawings CAN be examined to be sure they are not rigged.

Missouri Pick 3 Result: Sun., Oct. 22, 2006 Evening 0-9-5 Are you kidding me I never expect the Vt zero there... But now that i just realize that MO drawings are computerized, no wonder... I think is time to move, yet again! Does any of you have the full list of states that use the mechanical drawing system instead of the highy trustworthy computerized drawings system?

Online gambling executive arrested on state charges
I want to vote to eliminate all computerized drawings, including computer-only-controlled online casino games. I don't mean to eliminate drawings period but to eliminate the computerized aspect of it. Don't get me wrong here. I just want all of it (Lottery or Casino) to be based on real roulette wheels, decks of cards, ball machines, and human operators. At the very least to fully disclose for any RNG based game what kind of mechanism is generating the random? numbers. P.S. if anybody has e

I'm Donating Pairs for All States-May 26
Yea I thought of that...Is there a list of such states..I want to back test for the last month on all of the computerized states. I think (and I don't know enough to be defintive) that is one of the reasons for moving to computerized drawings....Computerized drawings in such a case would not be truly randomized under the scenario I am outlining....which is the fear of lottery nuffs I suspect and for which they might be fully justified in their fears. But a really good actuarial statistici

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
I recently moved from IN to Nc and I can honestly say that I hate computerized drawings. I used to love to play the daily 3 and daily 4. I was winning and then i hit a year long slump. I couldn't figure it out. Sadly, I found out why. I quit playing after that. They didn't even tell us that they switched to computerized drawings for a whole year. They ruined the Hoosier Lottery in my opinion. I guess I will stick to my first love, Powerball. I hope NC doesn't make a horrible mistake. P.S. I s

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
I think Grimes is onto something here that I hadn't even considered with computerized drawings. It would be possible to skew the results of a drawing if it were known which combinations were picked, thus preventing a jackpot from being won. Especially if some unscrupulous person had this knowledge. Computerized drawings should be banned outright.

Do you think that there is no possibility of changing minds of the lottery directors? If everyone takes that attitude, then we will certainly be destined for computerized drawings, but personally I refuse to take that attitude. Contrary to some pessimistic people, I believe if we stick together
