Is it wrong to...?
Gee KYFloyd, we can always count on you to tell the rest of the world how to do things your way, Frankie! The one who isn't being a friend is the one who agreed to do a favor, but didn't. How did he not do the favor, he got them the ticket. Whether you understand it or not, the favor implies that you will buythem the ticket but not turn around and copy the numbers for yourself. How so? Was it stated? Maybe in your mind it's implied, but It was implied would never hold up in a cas

If someone wins big, who gets the money for selling the winning ticket?
I wouldn't tip anyone if I won big because then it'd be extremely obvious that I won and contracts aren't going to work either... I guess it could be done anonymously or some silly contract though still, you never know, it could cause more problems than it's worth.

D.C. fines lottery operator $1.4M in ticket scam
GTECH Corp., the operator of many government lotteries worldwide, was fined $1.4 million by the District of Columbia this month over charges that its subcontractors or a partner firm hacked into the district's lottery system and printed winning tickets for themselves two years ago. The fine, which GTECH calls a blatantly political move, comes as the firm is locked in a long battle to retain the New Jersey contract it has held for more than two decades. GTECH and its Washington, D.C., partn

Pennsylvania Lottery retailer machines
Since there has been a change over in contract, its most likely that new machines will be installed to conform with the contractors software. If memory serves correctly its the same company that carries the MD lottery . One of the pros is they have self check ticket modules, the negative side-no self serve machines so you can pick your own numbers( edit:you'll still be able to use pick pay slips at retailers) ...but who knows with technology speeding up maybe we'll get lucky !

Format for the Ideal Lottery Pool
I have looked at formats for good lottery pools. Of course I believe the more people, the better the odds for you. But I am not good at math, so you expert players and mathmeticians, please comment on: The minimum jackpot your pool would play in, that is 50 mil, 100 mil, 200 mil, etc. How many members would be in the pool How much each member would play each time If playing the PB, would the pool choose the PowerPlay How many memebrs is too many/too little Of course, I have learned here

Tax office workers win Powerball lottery jackpot
You are probably right.. I am in a office lottery pool and we all had to sign a contract, one of the rules were if you did not play that week, if we hit you did not get a share of anything. The only exception that was made was that if there were a medical emergency or death in the family --(we would put your share in)........ Other than that zero input meant zero dollars!! We all agreed and we signed it.

Report Them to the lottery commission ASAP!! If they don't fulfill the agreements in the contract they signed to sell lottery tickets, they can be suspended from selling tickets or just plain revoked.

Can My Comapny Sue us For the Winnings?
I thought about this a little more and maybe everyone would lose! Let's say a new employee signs an agreement that he won't use company equipment for personal use and signed other documents about proper conduct in the workplace, which might mention anything from sexual harassment, use of profanity, dress codes and gambling to showing up for work on time sober. By scanning email lottery tickets, isn't this person breaking the contract? So then the Lottery can say the winning ticket is voi

Georgia lawmakers question lottery bonuses
If the $853M was the only funding provided by the GA lottery there's a whole lot more wrong than $3M in bonuses. With $3.4B in sales, the payout to the educational funds from the lottery would only be about 25% of sales. Given that the Fantasy 5 game has pari-mutuel payouts and the Cash3 and Cash4 games pay out 50% or slightly less, that leaves another $850M used for administrative expenses and contract costs. That seems rather high to me.
