Avoiding Scams with Store Employees
Have a look for any news story pertaining to lottery retailer theft and you'll find this is a BIG problem with Scratch Off tickets. When the PA lottery used to post names of winners on their site - we pulled all of the data and found some very disturbing data - a large number of big winners (more than $1000) were won by the same people. We found one guy who won more than 43 times on prize amounts greater than $1000. His total take over 3 years was close to $250K. The second most frequent winn

Illinois Lottery private manager still on job after firing
. No, you are not stupid. I agree 100%. For, I have been fired a time or two, for various things. No, it was never for anything like theft of property or assault, but once you're gone, you're gone. I too never heard of anyone being fired and hired again. (or so I thought)

Significant changes regarding Scratch off tickets needed within the Florida Lottery.
I appreciate you sharing your insight with us all. I can imagine how frustrating the 100X chase must have been for players, and I agree with you wholeheartedly that the FL Lottery needs to change many of their practices. There's no reason why they should be manually updating websites, and why they use such an archaic system for these things. There's no reasons they should be able to destroy tickets, books, and then ignore any type of question or interaction from players who are concerned about h

A former Iowa lottery security official accused of rigging drawings to win prize money in several states is facing new felony charges in Wisconsin. A prosecutor in the Wisconsin Department of Justice filed a total of six charges against Eddie Tipton on Thursday, including one count of racketeering, a theft by fraud charge and four computers crimes charges. Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
BuyLow, It's either intentionally or unintentionally(hurricane, floods, fire, theft, thrown away by customer by mistake) destroying the tickets... It's been 7 years since 200MS game was introduced and there were so many natural/man made disasters happened at different parts of florida....The issue is not this but FL Lotto doesn't keep track of books that were destroyed and so, all the players have been under the impression that grand prizes are still out there when it may not be there in reality!

Scientific Games says exec stole company secrets
A company that works with more than 40 state lotteries in the U.S. and several overseas says in court filings that a key executive orchestrated a massive theft of its most-prized secrets before he resigned to accept a position with a rival company. Scientific Games International Inc. is asking a federal judge to prevent the information from being used outside the company in the multibillion-dollar lottery industry. The company, with offices in Alpharetta, Georgia, filed the civil lawsuit W

Thieves target scratch-off lottery tickets in 'snatch-and-grab'
I thought it was interesting that the criminals have evolved to this method of beating the ticket cancellation after theft. I can picture them madly scratching the tickets off in the car to find the winners before the tickets get canceled, lol. Then again, they apparently only steal four tickets at a time. Any time I play four tickets, I feel lucky if I get more than one winner among them. And it's usually just enough to cover the purchase price -- hardly worth getting thrown in jail for.
