Powerball lottery madness spreads to big media
USA Mega clearly lays out what the annuity payment schedule would be, year-by-year, before and after taxes, for every state that offers that game. Clearly, the tables show how the jackpot of $340 million would be achieved over 29 years (30 payments). If you think that no reliable help is available then excuse me for saying that you are being intellectually dishonest, and I'm not going to be sucked into an argument with someone who is so wrapped up in their own opinions that they ignore the fac

Is a 400 million jackpot possible?
I've never seen it, or bothered to spend time researching it, but I have heard there is some federal law limiting it to $500M; annuity being the best they can list. That being the case, you can't fudge $500M. 500 is five hundred, no matter how you spell it. Of course I am not fluent in Chinese, so I may be wrong on 500 being 500.

Is a 400 million jackpot possible?
There really is no annuity limit since they can just inflate it like PB but realistically I doubt any lottery would ever break the 150 million in cash after tax amount. At least not in the USA.

Is a 400 million jackpot possible?
Remember, no matter how many times it rolls, the annuity limit is $500M. That means you'll never have enough to interfer with the lifestyle of the super-rich and famous. Martha may ask you for a subsription, but will never invite you to dinner. Buy a house in their world, and you will be broke again.

Is a 400 million jackpot possible?
I'm sure Powerball has it's own reasons to harp on why an annuity is such a great deal (especially the back loaded POS one they offer). If people looked at the cash amount they would get post tax it would dampen sales. It's also about control. I don't want to wait around for my check like a welfare recipient, I want control over the money from day one independent of what MUSL wants.

Although I selfishly want the money, it would be cool if some one from a poor country should hit the biggest jackpot ever - then choose annuity. Wouldn't that frost the state that sold the ticket? Having to send money to a foriegn country every year! Hehehehehehe! The news would use up a thousand years of tree bark!

Powerball lottery fever hits the USA
Al the talk about no truth in advertising , etc., is a bunch of boloney. You actually get the amount advertised if you choose annuity. Anyone who thinks it's false advertising is just proving that they are sour grapes -- nothing else.

Canada Lotto 649 Oct 19 Draw
Florida jackpot quietly snuck up to $27M - annuity. That will pay for bus fare to safe ground! Insurance will take of the rest.

Powerball lottery fever hits the USA
You realize that if it rolls on Wendsday that the pot will be 365 but still below the record thanks to Powerballs inflated annuity. The cash prize will be around 176 million which may only place it as the third largest unless it's more than 176.7 million. The only record Powerball seems intrested in is the largest second prize.

Canada Lotto 649 Oct 19 Draw
21 million US dollars (25 C$ at current excange) is fantastic for a 6/49 game especially since it's tax free and cash not an annuity. I can't imagine it will roll past that, it usually doesn't even get that high.
