N.Y. Lottery goes Hollywood
I'm almost certain that the $8,000,000 prize will be an annuity-only deal (and don't expect great odds either). The $50,000,000 prize, I'm not sure.

N.Y. Lottery goes Hollywood
Feel free to jump in, but isn't every single scratch off in NJ and NY annuity based? This way they can advertise higher amounts, get the sucker in the door, and then not have to pay that amount - those financing it will over 30 years will. If you and I were doing it, they would call it bait and switch. The state does it, its called, read the fine print.

USA Mega debuts Powerball lottery annuity calculator
Nice calculator, as a matter of academic interest only for me. I'd hate to think I'll live long enough to see the balloon at the end of the annuity payments. The aches and pains would take the joy out of watching the balloon lift off. Thanks Todd.Jack

what would you do?
If a wealthy person offered me a million dollars in exchange for sex I'd offer to buy them a cup of coffee so I could try to figure out whether their vision was impaired, they're mind defunct, or whether I was missing the joke. Maybe I could think of a comeback if I had the time a cup of coffee takes to slide down the gullet.I'd have to ask the following questions:1. A million US, or Japanese Yen?2. Cash, or annuity?3. How much sex are you expecting?

pb at 240 or 117 cash
http://archives.cnn.com/2000/US/05/10/big.game.01/Looks like a roll reversal. The Big Game had a poor cash to annuity then and PB does now.

Easy-Win Concepts
I have yet to try a game listed above (MA Ca$h WinFall, with 1:6 overall odds, is not included.) Of the four listed, the DE game is slightly better than PA or Tri-State. Lot O' Play probably will pay cash option winners exactly half of the annuity, instead of a floating percentage.

Final Ohio Super Lotto Plus drawing Saturday
The $12M+ is the annuity amount, the actual cash will be about half that. In the recent past jackpots that large have seldom not been won. With the Finale promotion, the amount of tickets sold should be higher than normal making it more likely the jackpot will be won. If that happens then it's business as usual.
