Powerball sales skid hurts lottery profits
Major changes in the game in August should lure players who want bigger jackpots.Powerball players got lucky during the past 12 months, winning lots of smaller multistate jackpots but dampening overall enthusiasm by reducing the number of huge payoffs in the $200 million to $300 million range. The players are just beating the game, Iowa Lottery President Edward Stanek said Monday. We had 11 Powerball jackpot winners the year before, and we have had more than a 50 percent increase for the fisca

Numbers and draw date magnetism
Rip,don't be discouraged I do I do see some what of a pattern as you do.Here in In. on the powerball play slips we can choose as meny numbers as we like and also mark Q.P. and the computer will pick the rest, what i have been doing lately is taking the 5 number drawn ,placing one in each of the play areas and letting the computer pick the, the reason is the pattern I have been seeing where a number from the previous draw has been returning in the next draw.So far it hasn't returned me any money

Merging Powerball and Mega Millions?
Quote: Originally posted by ryanm on April 2, 2005 Just for fun, I created a possible prize structure for a national 6/48 + 1/20 game. Prizes would be paid for matching 6+1, 6, 5+1, 5, 4+1, 4, 3+1, 3, 2+1, and 1+1 (but not 0+1, since it's not that much harder to hit 1+1 than it is 0+1). Assuming a prize pool of 50% of sales, and assuming 63.98% of the prize pool is for the jackpot, the following prize structure would be possible:<SPAN style= FONT-SIZE: 9pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana >Match<S

What prize is Lottosync aimed at?
Yep, good stuff RJOH. You are correct. That's pretty much the same as what I got from the 6/49 in Canada. I think you may know where I'm coming from here. Perhaps I wasn't very clear to others about what I'm trying to get at, so here it is again:1. I know Lottosync is better than picking 10 random numbers out of 49.2. I know the basis of the software is looking at the previous 3 draws to choose 10.3. I know the odds of getting a 3 of 6 prize in a 6/49 game is 1 in 56. And I know that by

Record $290M jackpot spurs Megamadness
Lewis Brown of Kirkwood, New York made copies of the $35 worth of Mega Millions tickets he had just purchased at J R Stop-N-Shop on Robinson Street for himself and a pool of his Wegmans co-workers.Billy Ghotra, manager of J R Stop-N-Shop on Robinson Street in Binghamton, sells tickets Thursday for the Mega Millions jackpot. The jackpot was later raised to $290 million. I'm trying to avoid any legal problems when we win, Brown said. Everyone gets a copy, so there are no questions. Brown, whose

Lottery defendant: I'm angry
Suspicious co-workers are wrong, he testifiesFor three days, Jamal Townes listened quietly as his co-workers at Englewood Hospital accused him of being a modern-day Judas for allegedly hiding a $25 million winning lottery ticket from their office pool.Yesterday, the 27-year-old X-ray technician got the chance to respond. I felt attacked, I felt betrayed, angry, Townes, of Englewood, testified in Superior Court in Hackensack, recalling the moment he realized his colleagues had become suspicious

LOTTERY POOL
MY NAME IS FRED GSCHEIDLE. SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF ME. IF NOT, I'M NOTED AT GAIL HOWARD'S SITE ON THE INTERNET AS THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE WON TWO JACKPOTS USING HER SYSTEMS. I DID THIS BY FORMING POOLS OF 25 PLAYERS AND USING HER VERY LARGE WHEELING SYSTEMS AND PURCHASING HUNDREDS OF TICKETS FOR EACH GROUP. I DO NOT DO THIS TO MAKE MONEY FOR MY SELF BUT TO TRY TO WIN JACKPOTS.I QUIT FOR A WHILE BUT I AM NOW GOING TO START PLAYING AGAIN. I AM NOW LOOKING FOR PLAYERS TO FORM POOLS. I AM LOOK

US Powerball multi-state lottery game expanding to the UK
After reading the article a few more times very carefully here is what I get from the article:
Everything in the article above the following section is yadda, yadda, yadda from the PB Lottery until some solid information (maybe subject to change?) comes along.
US state lotteries and the UK National Lottery will pool funds only for the Powerball jackpot, not lower-tier prizes. Tickets purchased in the UK will contribute the same fixed US dollar amount per play to the jackpot pool as ticke

Further Exploring the Relationship Between Quantum Mechanics and Luck Great choice!
The question about the influence of the configuration of basic filters on the randomness of lotteries is quite pertinent and raises an important point for those who use number analysis and selection tools.
No filters, no matter how basic or complex, have any influence on the process of random selection. There is no question here.
Randomness: This is the characteristic of an event occurring unpredictably, without any pattern or external influence.
There are 2 properties of randomnes

Suggestions please
Here's is how I play the game.
You need to do the 3 W's.
Watch, Wait, and then Wager. I'll explain my process below using Georgia's Midday game and Night game against each other.
First off, I never spend more than I can afford to lose. I typically aim for BOX HITS because they are easier to catch and with $10 to $12 bucks I can cover a larger range of numbers for a return of $41.50.
Yes, straights pay so well, but extremely hard to catch and cost plenty to get that straight pa
