How high will Powerball get this run?
Judging from how low the cash prize is now the jackpot could hit 400 million if they use the cash as the cap limit, but MUSL being lame will probably tie it to the annuity.

How high will Powerball get this run?
Powerball should tie their $25 million limit increase to the cash value option and not the annuity. That would enable them to still have their match 5 bonus pool.

is a $500 million jackpot possible?
That kind of reasoning only encourages Mega Millions to follow Powerball's example of inflating the annuity. Powerball claims they did that to adjust for inflation.

is a $500 million jackpot possible?
Good God people, please don't give the MM people any ideas! I know if MM does deflate theirs too, I'll quit playing both lotteries! As it stands now, I only jump on the PB's band wagon when it's over 50 million. The reason is for the fact that they at PB have cut the cash pay-out to less than 50% of the annuity!

.......if you won 500 million
That opera house thing's a pretty cool idea. I could talk myself into building an opera with a piece of that kind of loot if they were willing to take the annuity.Jack

is a $500 million jackpot possible?
It's possible like winning the lottery is possible. Both are very unlikely to happen. Last time any game broke 300 million was 2002. I doubt any game will break 300 this year unless powerball deflates their annuity again.

Michigan lottery profits at record levels, thanks to Club Keno
Hopeful:Sure you miss the Big Game, but I doubt you want to go back to annuity-only jackpots. The Big Game cash option began in early 1999.

How high will Powerball get this run?
I have a better idea for the 25 million dollar cap - the cap should apply to the CASH VALUE option!! That would make it easier to break the $363 million record annuity jackpot.
