The Number 18 / Current FL Winning Numbers
FYI on the 18th- A wee bit back lads and lassies, a discussion among the board at St Andrew's Country Cluc in 1858, a senior member pointed out that it takes exactly 18 shots to polish off a fifth of Scotch. By limiting himself to only one shot per hole, the Scot calculated a round of golf was finished when the Scotch ran out. Think of the promotional possibilities for these new resorts, include a fifth of Scotch with every round and when 18 holes finished the suckers will be all tuned up

Lottery a Sport?
You have a right to be confused, doubledown! haha. I thought Webster's might shed some light on the subject....but here are a few of the entries: 1.an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc. 3.diversion; recreation; pleasant pastime. 7.something treated lightly or tossed about like a plaything.

if you won a jackpot where in the world would you choose to live?
I would leave the keystone state far behind in favor of one of those $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 Oceanfront homes (the ones on wooden columns) on South Carolina's northern coast (a few miles south of Myrtle Beach and all the condos). Maybe Surfside Beach or Garden City Beach. One room set aside for the recording studio, and a little shack out back for the surfboards Golf clubs. I want my backyard to be the Atlantic ocean ;-) I'd dive into the local music scene (no shortage of venues) and tr

PB Challenge 8/9
It's not like surgery where a person such as myself has used tweezers to pull a splinter out of a finger: does that qualify me to be an expert brain surgeon ? Everyone here has their own little theories, and plus, it's a bit of 'escapism', something to do. Some folks do needlepoint, some paint, some golf, so enjoy numbers. Why am I here ? Just to see if maybe I can pick up on a theory to add to my own, another piece of the equation, but even at that, it still takes PURE

David Edwards(Powerball winner) home sold
The PBG home of lottery winner David Edwards was auctioned for $400,000 in a forfeiture sale at the WPB courthouse. Edwards, who won $42 million in a 2001 Powerball drawing in Kentucky, then moved into a $1.2 million home near the likes of Venus and Serena Williams at BallenIsles, was running behind in his maintenance payments. So the homeowners forced the sale. Real estate investors Gerti Kleikamp and Alfons Schmitt, of Palm Beach, won the 6,000-square-foot golf-course home. We haven't decided

What would the experts do with a lottery jackpot?
I am not saying I would not spend money, of course I would. I also would most likely invest it at the highest yield possible. However I was simply pointing out that it would not be necessary depending on the size of the jackpot. I was making a point just how much money millions really is, and I am not interested in the fast lane lifestyle synonymous with the rich. But I would be very well enough, and content at the lowest price possible. I was brought up with strong values, and obtaining mor

N.C. Lottery's image takes hit
North Carolina's lottery, not even 60 days old and nowhere near selling tickets, already looks dirty in the minds of the public, Lottery Commission Chairman Charles Sanders said Wednesday. There is a doubt in the public's mind, said Sanders, former CEO of pharmaceutical giant Glaxo, as to whether this is an honest and fair process. Controversies that have arisen around lottery company Scientific Games and its connections to both a lottery commissioner and a top aide to House Speaker Jim Black

Trusts
Your FIRST priority is to protect your windfall from LIABILITY. By establishing a trust you establish a separate entity in which to title the funds. There are practical reasons for this. Let's say one day you get into your car and with every intention to exercise due care you look first in all directions and seeing nothing you very slowly start to back out of your parking space. What you did not see was that little kid on his trike now squashed under your wheels....dead. No doubt his family
