Mega Millions lottery jackpots will get bigger, quicker
The odds of record-setting jackpots in the Mega Millions lottery will improve tremendously after California joins the multistate game later this year. The nation's most-populated state will bring an influx of new players and money that promises to boost the lottery's prize pool for players in all Mega Millions states. Jackpots will grow much faster and at much higher levels, said Carole Everett at the Mega Millions lottery's headquarters in Baltimore. The lottery is drawn in Atlanta.California w

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
Didn't Powerball try this trick back in 2012? They increased the numbers to be picked which raised the odds. They raised the price which raised my stress level. It's still not enough? Powerball has higher jackpots and more winners than Mega Millions and they still want to change it? I don't get it. According to my calculations in 2012 there was 15 Powerball Jackpots won to 13 Mega Millions. In 2013, there were 13 Powerball Jackpots won to 11 Mega Millions. In 2014, there was 11 Power

Why do people play QP's?
No you don't know what I posted, pound yourself. Do a word count. Re read and count words, the prolific crap comes from your keyboard. CIAO. Get off the pipe. CT post #1 The game I play most often is a Pick 5 because there's a drawing every day and I believe that in one's lifetime they might actually hit a pick 5. The Illinoos Pick 5 gets hit every two to three days. Pick 6 and 5 + 1 naturally have far remoter xhances of that happening. (Doesn't stop me from playing them though!) Here'

How Many Jackpot Winners Have There Been Anyway??
Thank you! You're correct! I should have known that Google would tell me what I wanted to know. So here's the MegaMillions info; Since Mega Millions began in 2002, there have been 196 jackpots won by 221 individual tickets (20 jackpots have been shared by two or more winning tickets). Mega Millions has awarded 22 jackpots of more than $300 million, including the Mega Millions record of $1.537 billion won in South Carolina on October 23, 2018. Here's a link to a list of all MM jackpots t

Now I'm annoyed about 20 million jackpot starts
This might be moved but thought it'd be ok to post here since other posts about this subject stayed in main discussion. My apologies if in wrong forum. Anyway, in the past I commented it didn't bother me having jackpots start at 20 mil instead of 40 with an understanding that they are trying to protect the game, but I have since been frustrated by this... The reason I'm frustrated is that jackpots have not been that high for winning tickets. When we were at 40 prepandemic the jackpots grew

UK ticket-holder is Britain's biggest-ever lottery winner after winning £170m EuroMillions jackpot
If they could actually find a good financial adviser the payment jackpots would be much higher. The lotteries already have very good advisers who understand that their client wants to be positive that they won't lose money by earning less than they've promised to pay out. Ironically, that's probably unnecessarily cautious. If they based the advertised annuity on some pie in the sky investment that claimed a potential return of 15% they could advertise far higher jackpots. That would prob

Is Powerball just going to rot away?
Billion Dollar Jackpots are fine but they should be done with Raffles. Maybe a multi state quarterly or semi annual raffle. The high odds are leading to longer rolls and bigger jackpots to the point that with the time and money involved the super big jackpots could be better accomplished with raffles. Then the multi states could go back to 150 million to 600 million dollar jackpots being won more often. Doesn't a 100 million dollar or 200 million dollar jackpot do anything for you?

Mega is $45 mil & Powerball is $40 mil. Will you be in it?
Now that both Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots have been won and the jackpots are low, will you still buy at least one ticket or will you wait until the jackpots get bigger again? There have been many times where someone won a low jackpot right after both jackpots had been won. I feel that you can't win if you don't play, so I have one ticket for MM and one for PB. $2 and a dream!

DO YOU PLAY THE LOTTERY $$ hoping to win a JACKPOT?
Call me crazy if you want to, but I never pay an ounce of attention to the advertised jackpots. I rarely play MM or PB, but when I do I add The Megaplier and The PowerPlay. That's because I'm more excited about winning lower tier prizes than I am the jackpot. BTW all the hype about both big games jackpots totalling about 750 million dollars is just that - hype. Does anybody really believe they'll win BOTH jackpots? I saw a TV news report about that very thing. The reporter said We did the mat
