I Won The Lottery This Year For Over 25 M
That doesn't sound at all like yeagerj's win. Where ever yeagerj won, if the win happened, likely it wasn't if Florida. Must have been fairly recent for the first annuity payment check to be still outstanding.Maybe yeagerj and JPorter will find themselves drinking in the same bar in Joeberg. They can compare the weather in Wyoming to the weather in Florida while they wait for Mr. Thambo to show up with the checks.Jack

PB annuity
I'm surprised you of all people would worry about the annuity payouts. I'm just wondering if the cash prize amount changed. I think it used to be 51.5% or close to that.

Texas Lottery considering guaranteed jackpots
I'd like to see them write a law (fat chance) requiring the posting of the cash value in exactly the same structure as they promote the annuity. Kind of a Truth In Advertising thing. Even better, a law requiring them to go to Todd's site and read the actual values!

Texas Lottery considering guaranteed jackpots
New jackpot prize guidelines proposed Monday include a guarantee the winner collect either the advertised amount or the amount calculated by sales, whichever is greater. The guarantees would apply to jackpots paid with the 25-year annuity, not to winners who choose the immediate cash-option payment.Strange, when people get into the habit of using smoke and mirrors they just can't seem to get loose from it. Guess they're running the old 'you can fool all of the people some of the time' maxim thr

Mega Millions Sets A New Record
If I had won a 363 million dollar Big Game prize and it was annuity only I'd still be friggin' ecstatic. Normally I'd prefer a cash prize but anything that can get me a house and retirement right now is enough for me.

$45 million N.Y. Lotto winner living life to the fullest
I'm always a little skeptical about everyone and about everything and plus I have financial advisers who just tell me, Don't make a move until you've spoken to me , and I don't, he said. He's obviously had a number of advisors counseling him on his choices. If he's going to spend a considerable amount of money and time accumulating art work and other collectibles, investments that he can enjoy as well as profit from, it might be a good idea to receive the money in an annuity to force some s

$93.4 million Powerball lottery winner is New Mexico's third
What a shock. Another powerball jackpot that didn't hit 100 million.Speaking of pools I always thought a Lotterypost pool would be fun to think of. The big arguement would be what numbers to play and cash or annuity for the prize.

Car salesmen lottery pool wins $16 million jackpot
I bet the salesman whose girlfriend refused to lend him the $30 he needed to join the pool is going to break up with her now. LOL It is surprising that they kicked in $50 each for only a $16 million (annuity) jackpot, but someone must have felt lucky!
