Powerball won AGAIN!!
Quote: Originally posted by JC0279 on March 17, 2005Blalron did you play wednesday and if you did did you play to win areto raise the jackpot. i play to win every time are i would not play.Sure. I play for me personally to win. But if it isn't going to me, it shouldn't be anyone else either... then I can set my sights on a larger jackpot next drawing! That's part of the excitement of rolling jackpots.

Powerball won AGAIN!!
I don't think the size of the jackpot has anything to do with it. Larger jackpots no doubt attract more players, but there are a lot of players in the 20 something states with Powerball, plus the many players who cross state lines. The more chances people buy, the greater the chance that someone will have the right numbers, regardless of the odds.Just my thoughts.

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
I just moved to NH a few months ago and find it ironic that the jackpots have all been low/not exciting! When I did not live here, they were always high and I had to travel far to buy tickets. It's aggravating!

Powerball won AGAIN!!
Wait. Could this be a sign that the MUSL should switch to computerized drawings so nobody wins and jackpots get higher?Nah. Probably not.

Powerball won AGAIN!!
That's it. I'm through with Powerball unless I start seeing some larger jackpots. I'm fortunate enough to live right on the border with Washington, so I'll get Mega Millions tickets instead.

Powerball won AGAIN!!
People just keep winning this thing. Winning and winning and winning. That would be nice if that was the idea of the game. But the idea of the game is large jackpots that generate excitement. $10,000,000 may not be measly if it was just handed to you. But when the odds are one in 120 million, it's chump change. And keep in mind that's the annuity jackpot before taxes.

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Wow who would have though that low jackpots would equal low sales. You would think that people running these games sometimes slept through economics classes. One would only hope that they change powerball. Perhaps follow my advice and make a game that comes close to or just over the 1:200 million mark. It's clear that the current game doesn't work if the purpose is to actually sell tickets and make participating states money.

Anyone know when Mega starts in CA?
