Mega & Powerball changes
Cash, I'm sure NY Lotto isn't that bad. If u just happen to buy a ticket and match all 6 numbers you'd be jumping up and down cause u won =)~tell me u wouldn't be happy.also, I wanted to ask u. What would u do if u decided to buy that MA annuity game ticket and win the jackpot but it's only available in annual installments?

cash vs. annuity
I remember playing super lotto plus in CA and the cashiers never gave me the option of annual payments or cash. I'm not sure i would have been so happy if i would have won cash and couldn't take an annuity because of the cashier.

Powerball Roll Forecast
Correct. The jackpot winner receives 32.6689% of sales. Also, the estimated CASH VALUE has increased only about $8 million, not $15 million, so they're actually projecting only about $24 million in sales. BTW, Mega Millions is now $50 million annuity for Tuesday's drawing. It's beginning to get to the point where people will think the MM is rigged!

Powerball Roll Forecast
I think the chances of the Powerball rolling over are more than 50%. With odds of 120,526,770 to one and projected sales of an estimated $24 million (no, I did not do the math!), the chances of powerball rolling over have to be at least 82%. You're probably right about the annuity value though.

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
Yeah, there have been two Powerball jackpot winners that took the annuity this year (although one of them took it by default because he failed to make the decision within 60 days).

Winner of $56 Million CA Lottery Jackpot Too Busy To Claim Prize
Agreed, but it's a shame that winners have to take a percentage off the top of their prize if they want to change their mind. It would be better for everyone if all states gave the winners the choice of changing their mind (or not requesting the annuity/cash selection up-front).

2 Players Share $1.17 Million Tenn. Lotto 5 Jackpot
It's a shame that Niether lottomike, nor I won this. Oh well. Lottomike and I will have our turn. (and any TN player on here for that matter). I have a $50,000 jumbo bucks ticket or a win for life ticket with my name on it. Sorry cash only but Win for Life is one of my favorites and I'm young enough to like annuity. (read the age page to see how old I am)
