Help organizing a work pool and forming a contract
Also, MAKE SURE it ONLY takes affect on the tickets that are in the POOL. For example, the statement, We agree to share the winnings. isn't good enough because lets say someone decides to go out later on and buy an extra ticket for him/herself. Well, if they hit the jackpot, when the other people find out about it, you don't want them trying to use the contract as a way to get money out of that ticket that wasn't in the pool in the first place. Include the details!!!!

Lottery License
Amazing Grace.......I don't believe that the online sites actually place any bets with the states. They operate more like a casino, hoping to make a profit off the people that lose, and not to have to pay a lot out to winners. Therefore, no contract needed with the states since they are not actually selling lottery tickets.

Md. Lottery scrambles to hire new ad agency
The Maryland Lottery can't air television commercials or buy other advertising for at least the next three weeks because the company that produced and purchased marketing spots for the state's games of chance went out of business.
The Baltimore advertising firm Eisner Communications unexpectedly closed Friday, saying it had run out of money, leaving a number of large clients in the lurch. The National Aquarium in Baltimore, Provident Bank and Florida-based Spirit Airlines also are left lookin

Trial in N.C. lottery fraud case begins
Federal prosecutors said Thursday that former N.C. lottery commissioner Kevin Geddings spent 60 telltale days last year working for a lottery company, holding a state lottery post and deceiving the public.
In opening statements in Geddings' fraud case, Assistant U.S. Attorney Dennis Duffy said Geddings had a lucrative relationship with lottery vendor Scientific Games that was a conflict of interest as a commissioner. By failing to disclose the relationship, Duffy said Geddings violated a law

Texas Lottery accuses GTECH of bribery
It sounds like Texas lottery wants to get rid of Gtech's contract or smear their name or both. I guess since they had to clean house on their own lottery now they are going to try to fix Gtech's problems. Maybe they should worry about fixing the Texas lottery!-weshar75

How To Protect Yourself In A Lottery Pool
kjsfriend,
What is the point of having everyone sign a disclaimer if only one person actually invested money in the ticket? If Joanna wants to share her winnings with all or any of her co-workers she doesn't need a contract with them before the drawing. That contract sounds more like a trap than protection because if someone signs an agreement that they expect to share the winnings of someone lottery ticket in which they invested nothing then they must assume the other person expects the sa
