Bradly, The MI Classic Lotto 47 jackpot for the Sept 2 draw at $7 million was not a record. The record jackpot was set on May 21, 2006 when it reached $7.3 million. The Sept 6 draw just tied the record. The Sept 6 did set a new roll record at 29 rolls. The previous $7.3 million jackpot took 27 rolls to reach that amount.

The Powerball lottery set a new 8 roll record of $101.9 million for the May 13 draw. The previous 8 roll record was $101.3 million. The Mega Millions 8 roll record is $117 million.
