mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
I voted yes. I think it will eventually..maybe even take some years. I don't know how I'd react to being the only holder to a $500m jackpot. I just think that $500,000,000 Annuity looks better than $236,534,995.09 Cash (after taxes).

cash vs. annuity
Quote: Originally posted by LOTTOMIKE on April 28, 2005i hit 386 straight today.....something i was wondering is if you move to another country would the annuity change in any way...... Not sure...What you would probably want to do is get a company that settles lottery claims...And get paid cash...

Do you want to add a Keno forum to Lottery Post?
mav:NY does not post the payback % (Ohio does.) Regardless of the payback, avoid the Lose for Life games and the million-dollar annuity-only scratches.

Unlucky for Life Mon-Thu
i think it's a good idea. PA was nuts to think that holding a game on the same nights as powerball was a good idea. i think it is a temporary solution, and could increase sales, but in the end, PA will realize that they either need to scrap the game, or increase the top prize. a cash option might work, but for such a small annuity, it won't be much.
