One lottery ticket wins $205 million Mega Millions jackpot
Here is a quote from the Michigan Lottery's WebsiteIf the winner chooses to take the cash option, the prize will be $124.7 million (before taxes). If he or she chooses the annuity payment, they will receive (before taxes) $8 million per year for 26 years. That equates to $666,666 per month, $153,846 per week, $21,917 per day, and $3,846 per hour for a 40 hour work week! The jackpot was originally set at $205 million, but large sales of the tickets increased the amount to $208 million Brad

My MegaMillions Matrix Suggestion
Yeah, unfortunately, with a cash only jackpot game, the jackpot would not appear to increase as fast as a traditional annuity jackpot. It's all about marketing.

Hi Ohio! I'm your new Lottery Director.
lp:I _hate_ PA Unlucky for Life. As for NY, avoid Lotto 6/59 (terrible payback) and the million-dollar scratch games (annuity-only).

Mega Millions changing June 24 -official
Quote: Originally posted by tg636 on April 18, 2005Yeah, I know, but so what. The question is, do you want to have a slim chance at winning a jackpot or almost no chance. One in 5 million sounds a lot better than one in 175 million, and I think I could live okay on $2.2 million over 20 years. That's a very good point. Before we can debate on cash vs annuity, WE FIRST NEED TO WIN A JACKPOT. First things first.

cash vs. annuity
i would choose lump sum because if you choose annuity and we have a bad stock market crash or the economy gets real bad you might have trouble getting the money your owed.....
