OhioSuperLottoPlus..$17M..03/02/2005
At $17M, Ohio still have one of the top 5 jackpots in the country. I didn't hit anything in last night's Mega drawing, but maybe I'll do better in the 649 game. Good luck Ohioplayers.RJOh

powerball matrix
Powerball is really in the dumps right now. People really excited about the low jackpots should skip multi-state games and just play state lottery games since in the case of powerball the jackpot would be higher and the odds MUCH better than powerball.I would hope they could push the odds to around 180 million to one soon. Otherwise their sales will really tank as an improved Megamillions goes on line.

Minimum Jackpot you will play
I never understood waiting for the jackpot to hit a certain level before playing. A lot of people have won jackpots with just a $1 quick pick. Your odds of winning with a $1 QP are the same as the guy who won it with a $1 QP. It can't hurt anybody to invest just a buck for that chance. I'll throw a buck or a few bucks on any jackpot.

Nebraska man claims $198,000 Pick 5 lottery jackpot
I'm always struck by how much the government takes before you get your money. This guy didn't win $198,000, he won $138,600.I think they should figure in the government confiscation factor and reflect it in the announced jackpots. Tell us what WE are going to win beforehand, not what we and the government are going to split, and announce that as the jackpot.

powerball matrix
Powerball clearly needs to do something - the jackpot rollover amounts are pathetic and the jackpot is being won too often. They need to recruit some more states, like perhaps Florida, and maybe change the matrix to increase those jackpots. They may be in real trouble soon if the changes to Mega Millions with the CA additon take off.

powerball & mega millions 5 draws a week
it is a bad idea...i dont think the jackpots would get as high...i know you could say that more drawings mean more tickets being bought...but, for most people it wont be easy to get to a lottery retailer 5 times a week, even if they wanted to play that much. I also think having a drawing 5 days a week will take away from the apprehension and novelty of it all.

powerball & mega millions 5 draws a week
i don't think it would be a good idea. you would run the betting public from the thrill of victory to the agony of defeat , with so many jackpots..

Poll re: Your state lottery's response
PA has about a 50/50 track record with me... mostly because they won't respond to my question about why they don't add Hot Lotto to the PA lineup... but when I asked questions about trusts to claim jackpots they responded quickly.

If you won a lottery jackpot..........
It all depends how much you win. The more you win the harder it will be to avoid attention. I couldn't really care who won some of the smaller lotto jackpots lately. They could take a pic of my lawyer if they want to take someone's pic.

10 Second Prizes in Washington
Quote: Originally posted by biglooooser on February 19, 2005I almost came close to winning the jack pot another 12 times, is that Luck too? Biglooooser,Almost everyone in here got a few stories about the jackpots they almost won, that's why they keep playing. It's not luck unless you actually win a jackpot, almost coming close doesn't count. Good luck to you.RJOh
