mega millions and powerball joined as one
I rather see two jackpots as opposed to just one. Like, let's spread the winnings around! Who needs $ 500 million or more?

powerball & mega millions 5 draws a week
I don't care to play 5 nights a week. We have a little lotto in Illinois that's played 7 nights a week and the pots are always in the $100,000 to $500.00 range. I've played Little Lotto once in 3 or 4 years.I would think playing PB MM 5 nights a week as opposed to 2 nights a week would create smaller jackpots because there would be a 120% chance increase of someone winning the jackpot.

Mega Millions lottery jackpots will get bigger, quicker
The jackpots may grow faster than powerball (but not by much). The big problem is they get hit more often than powerball and that's before CA has joined.

What happened to the jackpots on the left
For the big jackpots the jackpot amount plus the links to usa mega sites made for usefull links for some. Especially those not near states playing the games.

powerball & mega millions 5 draws a week
although it would be nice to see 5 draws a week for powerball and mega millions, and you would see huge jackpots week after week, it also means more money spent per year on the games, more operating costs, and the jackpot would get hit too often.

Mega Millions lottery to introduce changes when California joins game
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on February 11, 2005I saw the same report as Cashonly. http://www.lottoreport.com/2updates.htmI have no idea how accurate it is though. I personally am not holding my breath that they will have the foresight to change the game until at least a year of poor sales due to low jackpots.I agree. The report looks shabby with no source.

Delaware Lottery looking for $7.7 million winner
DE needs to learn to be patient. Compared to normal Lotto jackpots, this is quite a bit. The winner may want to consult a financial planner before claiming their ticket, even though the winner doesn't have the option of choosing cash or annuity. They may just want to know what to do with their money.

mega millions and powerball joined as one
I really hope they don't ever merge. I live in Maryland and play Mega Millions in my home state and Powerball in close by Pennsylvania. I like having multi-million dollar jackpots going 4 nights a week. Now if we just could get an additional national lottery to draw on Monday's and Thursday's, then I would only be bored on Sunday evenings!!!

Mega Millions lottery to introduce changes when California joins game
Quote: Originally posted by mrmst on February 10, 2005 I think CA demanded some changes to insure big jackpots - since New York and Texas have come on board we have not seen very many really big ones. I think it will be a matrix change to make the odds longer.when new york joined was when it went from the big game to mega millions.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
I compare it to powerball. Mega goes upto 100 but just can't break past the 300 mark. Their sales are also below powerball. And sales have been falling for jackpots at the 100 million mark. I also hope the new game doesn't break the 200 million to one mark. I think those odds would be too intimidating. I think most would handle a 1:160 - 1:185 million mark ok if the smaller prizes had better payouts.
