Mega Millions when CA joins
I hear some talk that the jackpot will be lower. At the same time I read several articles saying jackpots will potentially be as high as $200-$300 million. One article said a $400 million jackpot certainly is possible for Mega Millions with California on board. Here's just one article http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apus_story.asp?category=1110 slug=California%20LotteryWhat's the real deal?

My thoughts on MM when CA joins
When California joins in June or whenever, I feel lengthening the jackpot odds (along with better OVERALL odds) is the correct thing to do. We may see higher starting jackpots, a fixed (remember CA requires pari-mutuel prizes) $250,000 second prize; there may also be a new 2+0 category should the new version be 5/71 + 1/17. Trust me, a new version of Mega Millions would still be better than NY Lotto 6/59.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
Just a thought ... With California joining the Mega-Millions... there will more winning combinations played ... Do you really think jackpots will really get as hight as 100+ Million ? With the inclusion of California .. I think it would be a rare case if the jackpot now got as high as 70 Million.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
Of the big four, (California, Texas, Florida, and New York) Florida is now the only state that doesn't have a multi-state lottery game with large jackpots. I wonder when Florida will get in on the Powerball or Mega Millions bandwagon.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
They told us 400 million jackpots when WA state joined. What a load of you know what. It is neat that Lottery post is the first to get any real info on this.I really hope they change the game now or it will never get a decent jackpot.

Powerpik.
True. I don't care if they do it - it would be interesting to see how many people would do it, how many jackpots would be won with it. I know some people spend over $50 per drawing anyway, this would be a more sensible thing than 50 quick pics.

WA Lottery - a la Jimmy
I like quinto the way it is. If anything they should go back to lotto plus. The current lotto is bad.Problem with megamillions is the low jackpots. Very few play the game in Wa state anyways. I would only be interested in a Megaplier if it doubled the pot.

powerball and mega millions
the only thing that would be bad would be the use of a central computerif its computerized where they would drive up the jackpots to their choosing by making the winning numbers the numbers that were not bet on,in that case there are chances that the jackpot could grow to astronomical proportions.

New Jersey
dr:1) Cash 40 was a 6/40 game with small jackpots and decent lower-tier prizes, considering the 40% payback.2) Now we know where the 10%-12% of NY Lotto sales are going (instead of to winners).
