I dont understand how jackpots start at 3 million and roll 500,000 in the new proposed game with ohio and michigan when the superlotto now starts at 4 million and has a million dollar roll over with half the price of the new proposed game.

Mega Millions MEGA BALL number?Reply
Picking the Mega Ball...Much harder to systemize because it's one ball at a time.I use an algo for the bonus ball a little similar to that for the lower 5, but when there are large jackpots and I want to play some silly methods just to have a few more shots, I will put in my bowling scores the first 5 frames and the mega would be the lane I bowled on, or even the temperatures on the weather map... I think on Jan. 18th the temps in the midwest had 23, 28, and 51 in Florida.. hmmmm....

PA should get rid of MATCH 6 because 2/3 of it is forced quick pick and the jackpots are pathetic. LuckyForLife is ok just increase it to 1000/week and as weekly checks, not yearly. Or how about 1000/week tax-free because otherwise it's really around 600 - not enough to retire on.ONE REALLY ANNOYING THING on PA slips, you can't void off a botched play, you have to redo the whole thing! NY Lotto (currently 6/59)
The much-maligned NY Lotto has been 6/59, two plays for $1 since the week of 9/11. The next time the game is changed, do you think the NY Lottery will leave the big jackpots to Mega Millions, or will they shoot even higher (40% prize pool notwithstanding.) *NOTE: Because some online lottery games cost $2, IMO we need to start addressing odds per $1.

Raising the price to $2 is probably the worst thing you can do to raise sales. Sure the jackpots may get larger. But they'll get there slower because most players are not going to pay $2 for just 1 play. Maybe 3 plays with the chance to combine them and win more, but not just 1 play. I guarantee if any of these big jackpot games decided to raise the price to even $1.50, it would crash and burn, leaving them to depend on another game for sales.

I actually like quinto as cards. The problem with the washington lotto is not the number of drawings it's the game itself. The odds are too low versus the population of players. That's why lotto plus had such great jackpots. If anything I wish I had shown up just to ask when Megamillions is going to get fixed. The current game is bad.

Well, Lotto Texas is competing head-to-head with Mega Millions (with Megaplier), which is structured the same (Pick 5 then 1 more), but is easier to win and has bigger jackpots. Maybe they should try to distance Lotto TX from Mega Millions by going back to 6/50 (call it Classic Lotto Texas). You gotta have variety in the kind of games you offer. A simple difference in payout won't make much of a difference.
