California man learns $10 million reason not to tell your roommate if you win the lottery
Always keep your mouth SHUT and sign with indelible ink from a gel pen, not regular ink which can be removed. At the office or wherever 'S' works the gossip pool would have been hot. Where is S? Someone pipes in he's in the slammer! The boss not liking his company/corporation misrepresented by his employer's bad deeds assures 'S' he won't be employed there anymore. Karma baby, Karma!

Pick 3 Forecast (Multiple States) 9th Edition
Very interesting thread you have here and I certainly agree with so much of what you discuss but, it kinda seems to be over simplified when it comes to the wagering costs versus the ROI's you mention. Just my own personal observation, though, so what I'm going to do is take your most recent pool of combos and apply them to my own state which is Texas beginning with this evening's draw. I will run them as you say, in the Any Order 2-like numbers to extend a reasonable chance of hits. The math, in

$1.537 billion Mega Millions jackpot won by 1 ticket sold in South Carolina
Maybe the person bought it as part of a pool and is taking advantage of the anonymity laws to screw his fellow poolmates. Now he has to fake his death and change his whole identity before he claims it, which of course takes time and careful planning. Who cares at this point since we'll never know?

Lottery flub pays off: Michigan co-workers win $1M
restricted to certain numbers ??? interesting POV I am more along the lines of freedom of choice type of person. Bring your ticket in and you are part of the pool. You don't, then you are not in.

Lottery flub pays off: Michigan co-workers win $1M
.. that's hilarious TMM. Kinda reminds me of a lottery story l read here about a guy from NY or NJ who was head of this pool. When they won, he claimed that he bought the winning ticket separately from the group. The others took him to court won years later. I want to say the guy's name was Americo..could be wrong, but there.

Lottery flub pays off: Michigan co-workers win $1M
Where I used to work, we did a pool when the jackpots got high. One guy used to put in twice the amount. He said it was for his son. We stopped that quickly and said If we win, you can give him a share of your money
