After all the Tipton stuff, any lottery using an RNG probably has it locked up in a vault and nobody could fix the broken record. Whatever happened with Hot Lotto still only effected very few players and considering there was only one winning ticket, it really only effected the next prize winner. Keno RNGs are set on timers and the results are recorded by the RNG too so it depends on how often a human checks the drawings.

This whole story makes me wonder what else is out there just waiting to be discovered? There are so many RNG games now, and I am sure Tipton isn't the first to have the idea and the skills to make this fraud happen. Maybe others are just less greedy or smart enough not to get caught? I think lotteries are going to have to start monitoring the financials of their employees that have access to RNG systems and especially look at anyone who quit or retired early.

It was proved beyond a reasonable doubt at his trial that Tipton rigged the computerized drawing using a rootkit he installed on the drawing computer. If it's a fact at least one drawing was rigged, why aren't the people running the game being investigated?
