Mega Millions confirms ticket price increase to $5, other changes coming April 2025
Yes, so can afford this system and why is the amount changing, do t they make enough money. It's not needed and we don't want price increase change the odds of winning though, cause I rarely win with ten tickets.

What does everyone think about the Mega Millions ticket price increase???? I personally feel it's a good thing, although I'm not sure everyone can afford or allot $5 per ticket. But your odds are ALOT greater, you get FREE multipliers, and you're guaranteed to NEVER win less than the ticket cost.

pulling a rabbit out of a hat
I think what makes it hard is the odds.
The fact that 300 million tickets are sold and the odds are 1:300M does not mean that every ticket combination was bought.
A few weeks ago 8 people matched the first five numbers for the 1M prize and one player won 5M because they had the multiplier on.
So if 8 people played the same numbers and won, how many more duplicate numbers are played?
I would say, the major lotteries are not rigged. I dont know about the slot machines in bars and s

I had it in 2x. .50/box. Good hit for today! The odds of it coming back tonight in the exact order it came in the daytime or one in 100 million. It happened a few weeks ago, so I'm praying that it happens tonight as well! Thx and congrats to all winners

Mega Millions Changes
Right there with you GV................ No need to waste that kind of finances when the odds on other games are much more reasonable. ONLY when the jackpot reaches the $500M CASH VALUE, then I might consider it....Nothing before that.

Play a large number of tickets once a month or a few tickets every drawing?
The ticket cost of both MM and PB (and odds ) make it expensive to play even a few tickets every drawing especially playing other games too. So I only play when it's more likely the jackpot will be won, but over time It's probably a wash and I'll spend the same amount either way.

Who Does Kooky Things While Picking Numbers?
Before I moved to Florida in 2020 I lived in New York State. About five or six years ago in Suffern NY, someone bought a one line NY Sweet Millions ticket at three different retailers. Each of the three tickets contained a single line with the same set of of six numbers. Those six numbers were drawn that night, and because Sweet Million's jackpot was not parimutuel, the player won a total of three million dollars. So IMHO there is at least one sensible reason why someone would do it.
