Maine moves to disqualify lottery winners from receiving food stamps
Good for the state of Maine. Not too long ago a winner on EBT in MA won a million dollars. Let's not forget that MI winner but she met an untimely death due to drugs if I remember correctly. She was receiving benefits too, right?
In Indiana on the ATM machines there is a sign forbidding using assistance funding from getting money in the casino.
With all the technology abounding, it would be an easy fix to prevent some forms of abuse, but folks always seem to find a way around it

What is the best programming language to use in lotteries?
To give you the best ground work on this subject..

That should give you a fair start on assembly language. There will also be many books available at your local library. I would also recommend down loading the IA32 or 64 reference from intel its about 4000 pages long. As with anything there is a learning curve. I started in the late 70s with a Timex Sinclair 1000. Indeed technology has come a long way but mos

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I agree, this is unacceptable and is a testament to a need for change within how FL lottery transfers old books. I imagine that a large number of those 5k+ books that are missing/destroyed/stolen were gotten rid of when new $10 tickets came out, and stores decided to send open rolls back to make space.
If the last top prize isn't hit on $2m Jackpot, or Super Millions due to these types of practices, I will be extremely vexed at the FL lottery. The technology certain exists, and many othe

The maximum tax bracket!
I can live with 25% tax withholding but seriously? I can do a lot of good things with the additional 15% of tax bracket.
Since I live near LA and many of my friends are animators, maybe I can setup a non-profit animation studio that does a lot of research on new graphics technology?
As for those who oppose the idea, well...at least I am creating jobs.

FBI warns about lottery fraud
The telephone call came from out of the blue. The man on the line told the 83-year-old retired schoolteacher she had won a substantial lottery prize. All that was required to claim the windfall was to pay taxes and other fees.
Before it was over, the victim a Virginia resident who had meticulously saved for her retirement was out more than $500,000 in a scam that has become all too familiar among the elderly.
The criminals behind these lottery frauds and other telemarketing scams prey on s
