I buy tix for my work pool. There are only 8 of us. Last week a couple people suggested we buy more tix. Each person kicks in $2 a week, so we're pretty small spenders. So yesterday I texted everybody about kicking an extra $2 each for Wednesday's draw. Everyone said fine. Your buyer should have asked before acting.

unless I'm participating in a work pool tonight pretty much confirmed why I never spend more than $2 on Powerball. My uncle bought $250 worth of tickets. He had two numbers on a few tickets and the Powerball on 4 tickets and that's it. He won about $36 tonight and that's it. Reminds me of a friend who played briefly in the NBA in the 90's bought over $1000 tickets back when it first reached in the 300 millions and barely won $100. Ugh. lol
