Does A Jackpot Win Use Up All Your Luck?
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on June 06, 2004i voted for not at all because it people have won multi-million dollar jackpots more than once.I read some where (don't remember where) that the percent of big winners among previous jackpot winners is higher than among the general playing public so luck may not be a factor. That small group may have different playing habits than the general public. RJOh

Changes to Canada Lotto 6/49 now in effect
It looks like players like the new format. Sales were relatively high for the first draw at $17.3 million. The jackpot was $4.7 million (above the $4 million minimum). The estimated jackpot for the Saturday draw is $10 million. I predict it will go over $10 million. The next two jackpots (June 9 and June 12) will be a minimum of $17 million and $25 million respectively as part of a bonus promotion to boost the new format.Good luck,Jake

$300 Milion jackpot.
I would give it at least a year. Granted Both games have seen $200 million+ jackpots in 2004, there are too many states and too big a population for the jackpot to be hit. The only way for either of those games to reach $300 million again is for so many states to join that the starting jackpot will have to be increased, and for huge rollovers to occur.

Winners Edge - Anyone Know ?
Has anyone checked out the sitewww.winnersedgeinfo.com ?This seems to be a subscription site that predicts numbers for you and you play in group play together with other subscribers. My question: Why are they doing this? If the system works, why do they bother wiith the site, the system and the subscribers? Would you not just play it yourself? That leads me to believe the system does not work, but it's a great money-making idea. So what about the claims of jackpots being won?

Boycott launched to protest increase in Lotto 6/49 prices
At least one regular lottery player is betting he can challenge changes to Lotto 6/49 that take effect this weekend.John W. Sullivan has started an e-mail campaign urging people to abstain from playing the 6/49 to protest against ticket prices that are being doubled to $2 on Sunday. Our boycott will begin June 2, at which time nobody will purchase a 6/49 lottery ticket on that date, Sullivan, who describes himself as a Quebec resident, wrote in a recent electronic message forwarded to The Gazet

PA Lottery
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on May 24, 2004Chas:What about a new Hot Lotto, say, 5/43+1/19 with bigger jackpot potential than the current HL?I'd rather see a six number game with the potential for big jackpots and lots of rollovers. My biggest fear of any type of Hot Lotto is that it would replace the present Cash 5 game. No one in Pennsylvania wants to see that happen.Chas
