$800 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot approaches billion-dollar range
Just went up to Tom Thumb to buy tics for the work pool. There was a guy ahead of me buying PB tics and I could see he bought 10 lines. He paid his money but just stood there for a few seconds, finally asked the clerk are they $2 each? . Clerk says yes. Guy says I didn't realize that . Just reinforces that fact that there are people that never play the lottery coming out of the woodwork to get in on the action.

$800 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot approaches billion-dollar range
I caved and purchased $80 tickets for myself and pitched in $10 in my pool at work. Haven't spent $ like this since Powerball went from $1 to $2. My normal purchase since the $2 change was only $2 - 4 on tickets after $200M jackpot. I think I might wager another $10 tomorrow. It will hit tomorrow with multiple winners, no way the government will allow the lotteries to award ONE person all of this money.

$800 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot approaches billion-dollar range
Cash value is a half-billion dollars By Todd Northrop This is the lottery jackpot every lottery player has been waiting for! Reaching into uncharted stratospheric heights, the Saturday Powerball jackpot is by far the largest lottery jackpot the world has ever seen, and is now also the largest lump-sum cash jackpot in world history. Just a day after the jackpot was raised to $700 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) has once again raised the official Powerball jackpot e

Holy (SNIP) you won the Powerball... Champagne wishes and caviar dreams...
A private jet card (I don't want to own the jet). A house with enough bedrooms and bathrooms so my whole family can come and visit at the same time without anyone having to share. A swimming pool the dog and I could use year round. But most of all I want my husband to be able to retire and stay home with me all day!

5/5 where are you?
I totally agree. I usually include the last draw. Problem is though is that doing this makes it harder to narrow the pool of numbers. I tend to feel that playing a large wheel is worthless as your chances of getting the jackpot are so diluted. I am going to try a strategy with multiple smaller wheels. Oh and by the way, we had a draw last week where 4 of the 5 numbers from the previous draw repeated!! I saw the same thing happened in CA's FF game a few weeks ago. That is nuts!!

$400 MILLION: Powerball jackpot surges on rollover
They need to sell about 615 million more tickets ($1.23 billion sales) to reach a billion from the current pool I am thinking the progression will go $450M, $600M, $800M, $1B if it can continue. The $1B mark will be at least the 96th percentile, which means on average we can expect a winner prior to or in this drawing 96% of the time. The 99th percentile would bring a jackpot of $1.5B

PA New Year's Raffle
I just checked my tickets for the pool I run at work. I bought 9 tickets on December the 6th. Four of the nine numbers I bought that day were as follows; 075829, 075830, 075832 075833. You may have noticed that 075831 is missing from that set. Well as luck would have it, it appears in the PDF file on The PA Lotteries website in the $100 winner category. So somebody somewhere won a hundred bucks with it. But here's the even tougher part. It may have been my brother that won that $100. H

Have you ever won anything on a mistake ticket?
Well then, between tonight and the 30th I wish you good luck. Statistically I know those tickets have no better chance of winning, but it's easier for me to swallow my own tickets not winning than to know I passed up the chance of winning. There's a person that used to work with the Nebraska 8, and every day whines about not handing in the $5 to the pool. I don't ever want to know that feeling. I don't ever want to know I intentionally missed out on my big break.
