NY Lotto inching closer to all-time high
Well, you're not remembering the NY Lotto then - maybe some other game.I found the New York Lotto page that proves my point:http://www.nylottery.org/ny/nyStore/cgi-bin/HighestPayouts_Cat_333578_SubCat_337673_NavRoot_302.htmIt shows the 50 Largest LOTTO Jackpots (From September 12, 1991 to Present)Now, if you don't believe me, and you don't believe the New York Lottery, then I would suggest that you're challenging my statement just for the sake of challenging me.

NY Lotto inching closer to all-time high
states make the odds to win their lotto jackpots so high to create huge strings of drawings without a jackpot winner, and when the jackpot gets high, more people will play, which will cause an even bigger rollover, which will generate more sales, and the chain will continue until some lucky stiff (or stiffs) wins (or win) it.

All member states are part of a single lottery network. The central computer makes all of the decisions regarding winners and where they are sold. Predictions - Are You Serious ?
I know that lottery numbers cannot be predicted. If they could be predicted all of the lotteries would go out of business rather quickly. That said, a predicted number is as likely to win as is any other number. If one likes to predict, there is no harm in it.Certainly there are some lottery winners who will tell everyone that they predicted their wins. Of course, there are also lots of people who won with quick-picks. Neither class of winners proves that one type of playing is b

Quick Picks Vs. Number Selection
i highly doubt lottery machines will wait until all number combinations are sold before they start repeating combinations. if it did, then there would be a guarenteed jackpot winner each time the jackpot got over $150 million. also, if a computer system did, then there wouldn't be such huge jackpots at times.

Tennessee Powerball
Quote: Originally posted by rock_nc on April 22, 2004i think there is too many states playing power ball and now Maine will be playing this summer.Give it a few years and all the states will be in Powerball or Mega Millions. The more the merrier. Better yet would be a national lottery. Just think of the rollovers and huge jackpots! The winner could buy the State of Maine.Chas

Super 7
i do like that idea. i think powerball should use the match 5 bonus to fund bonus jackpots instead, but then again, when is powerball going to reach a new record next?
