What's the cut off point for you?
For me, this is one area where size doesn't matter. If I play a game, I play it when it's the minimum jackpot or it rolls. Winning $3 million would be just fine with me and my odds don't increase just because the jackpot it larger. For some reason, a lot people believe there is a greater chance of winning when a jackpot rolls over several times. Yes, there probably is. But it just means that someone will probably win since so many more people are playing for that very reason. It doesn't increase

New Florida Lotto playslips a bother to some
and some! The sad thing is all they have to do is go to the website and it plainly tells you what to play and what you will get for your play! DUH! And yes, Justexploring, I realize the PowerPlay is for the lower prizes only. It feels so good to increase my meagre lower tier winnings. LOL. Now maybe if we get a national lottery, the increase the jackpot option would be the seller/the catch, the real hook-up!

Large Jackpot in 2008 PB and/or MM
If any game would be ripe for change it would be Euromillions. Currently they haven't even had a double rollover in over 2 months.
Best thing state lotteries can do to help increase sales would be to push to have winnings from state run lotteries to be exempt from Federal income tax like the rest of the world. Just knowing the money is tax free would increase sales. I don't count on the current administrators to be that smart but there's always hope.

Oklahoma Lottery scrambles to increase revenue
Education funding doesn't see expected boon; officials cite low prize payouts as root cause
With sales floundering compared to projections, Oklahoma Lottery officials are scrambling to bring in more money.
State officials are saying the lottery hasn't been the boon to educational funding it was touted to be.
To increase lottery sales, Lottery Commission Executive Director Jim Scroggins is advocating putting more of the lottery sales into prize money, saying people play to win.

Hoosier Lotto Will Be Won on August 11 ...
Someday, some congressman's wife will overspend her allowance on lottery tickets, and she'll go crying to hubby because she didn't win. Then, and only then, there will be a congressional investigation into our hopelessly corrupt state government.
Something like this actually happened with the Publishers' Clearing House, years ago. People went to Congress crying complaining about all the money they spent on those magazine subscriptions, thinking (or claiming they thought) it would increase t

Why do you get more with Mega Millions?
MM seems to increase slower- I think because it is played in 12 states vs. 31 for Powerball...
