Ohio have 2 of top 5 lottery jackpots
Cash,Many states claim that the Pick3 is their best money maker, so it not the goal of states to just have games with large jackpots, but to make money. The only reason states have games like MegaMillions and PowerBall is to attract new players and players who won't play the lower level games. These type of players most likely won't play Hot Lotto either if a bigger jackpot game is available.RJOh

Ohio have 2 of top 5 lottery jackpots
RJ:Hot Lotto has reached $3.6 million. The good-paying lower-tier prizes (eg $2 for matching just the Hot Ball) keep the jackpots somewhat low. We'll see after DC and North Dakota get in.

Pa Match 6 Results & Comments
Quote: Originally posted by Grammy3 on March 21, 2004 So what do you think of Match 6? There are more ways to win so I think it will be played more.Ho Hum at this point. I believe a large population state like Pa. could come up with something better than this. We need bigger jackpots. Its like playing a $1 scratch off ticket, and you get one buck back. Theres no excitement.Chas

Auto Lotto or Picking Your Own?
Quote: Originally posted by Platinum298 on March 20, 2004What do you people prefer? Have you won more using the auto feature or picking your own? ToddPlatinum298The majority of jackpot winners have been quick picks (You'll see that when you read articles about the winners of major jackpots). I generally play some of my numbers and the rest quick picks for whatever game requires my picking the numbers.

Same here in New Jersey.I'd guess that Powerball will be number three tomorrow. Since I live near the PA border, theoretically I'll have access to the three biggest jackpots.

Georgia Fantasy 5 up to $1,800,000.00
Everyone,No one won the Georgia Fantasy 5 again last night so over $1,376,000.00 rolled over. The estimated jackpot for tonight is over $1,800,000.00!!!!!!I know that Florida's Fantasy 5 has had a few jackpots to pass the millon dollar mark, but in the history of Pick 5, does anyone know if any state has had a jackpot this high before? Is this a United States record for Pick 5?Just imagine if it rolls again tonight.Buy those tickets..... Thanks,Lottery Analyst

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
The Powerball jackpot is has rolled over and is now $12,000,000 annuity dollars. I estimate that this jackpot will have $12.5 million in sales based on experience with early jackpots where the minimum jackpot sizes complicates direct calculation. On this basis the probability that the next jackpot will rollover again is 90%. The probability of there being one winner is 9%, two winners, 0.5% and three winners, 0.02%.Lottobuddy may post small refinements based on history with which I am most l

Please help
It's against ebay rules to post lottery tickets with a monetary value. Losers are ok. Do a search under the word lottery , you'll always find lots of scratch tickets, all losers. When ever Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots get high someone will post tickets with a offer to mail the high bidder the tickets before the drawing date. Ebay always pulls these auctions, just give them a day or two ,they'll pull this one also. Chas
