That Carryover Money can be a Grey Area a potential red herring when faced by Savvy Attorneys on the opposing bench. Just saying Chopper.
People lawyer up real fast when money is involved. Lately in the lottery News, we have a store owner suing a player for $350,000 when the store owner put no money up front and simply has a signed piece of paper stating that he will get some money. Your pool could very well come under attack from members who left prior to the win.

Standing in line ready to purchase a lottery ticket and overhead... .

If you won would you be curious what everybody's share of the prize is? It works exactly the same way with the losing tickets. Everybody has an interest that's proportional to their interest in the pool.
If you knew the person was planning on using the tickets to commit tax fraud you're at least an accomplice, and possibly a co-conspirator.

How is this not a massive fraud by the Florida Lottery?
Wow, Ron, thank you for reading my post and understanding what I was saying. Yes, something is amiss alright. They promoted this contest and sold as many $25 dollar tickets as they could with the initial wave of publicity, and then quietly altered the remaining prizes information with absolutely zero publicity. This lottery promotes itself as having integrity and being transparent , but reducing the prize pool and putting out inflated prize information to sell tickets is anything but demonstrati
