EXCLUSIVE: Weeks-long computerized draw error prevented many DC Lottery tickets from winning a prize
I have a bit of sympathy about that response that players were getting from the lottery, mainly because the lotteries all get accused by angry gamblers daily of being rigged. So the handful of messages they might have received as a result of this drawing error were likely dwarfed by the daily onslaught of similar messages that do not have a shred of proof. You really can't expect a customer service rep to sort all that out, and the result is a canned response, because most of the time what they

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
chatgpt prompt: write three blurbs for a book about a person being stalked by the lottery.

Lottery Numbers Aren't Meant To Be Random
the fact they pre-test in this manner is proof the numbers aren't random.
I'd agree, except that we aren't both idiots. Those pre-tests are precisely because the process is random and they're checking to make sure that nothing suggest a problem that interferes with that expected randomness. That you don't understand why they do it doesn't change the reasons for doing it.
I'm sure I can see a pattern in your movement from bed to toilet in stunning accuracy due to the fact you are in a co

Jin, TheseStars...
It's day 1 of 2026. Be the change you want to see. Go easy on each other.
I'm on both sides of the fence on this.
1.) I agree with TheseStars, that what Jin posts is confusing to me. I've got a tech background and understand some of it, but still have trouble understanding.
2.) I agree with Jin, the accolades are about the contribution, not the who's right or who's wrong . And paying no mind to the haters is more valuable than anything else.
I've been a

Lottery is not random it's predetermined
There are 2 entities associated with randomness:
- process
- outcome
They are distinctively different and have to be analyzed separately.
They both use probabilities.
Random process specifies that in a given pool of items each item has exactly the same probability of being selected.
This probability is independent of time frame: whether you draw once or 1000 times this probability is always the same.
Outcome is a different ball game. It can be anything in a given period o
