Online gambling threatened by U.S. legislators
Quote: Originally posted by J0026 on July 8, 2006 Quote: Originally posted by LckyLary on July 8, 2006 This is the only real problem I have with online gambling: I keep seeing a signature line on here that says to Elminiate all computerized drawings . I agree with that. Computerized drawings can be easily rigged to draw a combination that has the least amount of tickets picking it. i.e. instead of Pick 4 1978 it picks Pick 4 8885 which is much less popular. With a real drawing you see the b

a question concerning computerized draws
Hi this is my first post. Does anyone know if Washington State has computerized drawings? I emailed them and asked them why the drawings are not televised and they responded because it was too expensive and I was unhappy about that. I just recently started playing on a regular basis. I would prefer the balls because I think computers can be cracked and rngs can be influenced. I think balls being 3 dimensional objects floating through space are fairer to all lottery players.

Did you see the Delaware Multi-Win results?
Mildly interesting. ALL lotteries use big accounting firms, so there is nothing special there. It is not surprising that the accounting firm supports whatever position the lottery takes on their drawings. That's because the accounting firm wouldn't be around much longer if they went public with any disagreements on the drawings! You can bet that the accounting firm would suddenly think traditional drawings were the best thing since sliced bread if the DE Lottery decided to dump their horri

Same lottery numbers win game twice
Got a lucky lotto number? You might want to stick with it. Wisconsin lottery officials report the same combination has won the SuperCash game twice within ten days. SuperCash is drawn using a computerized drawing machine, rather than a traditional lottery ball machine. The winning numbers 4, 5, 10, 16, 25 and 29 came up January 30th and again February 9th. State lottery mathematician JonMichael Rasmus says the odds of that happening are about one in 326,000. He says it's like flipp

Report Card Error?
I visited several of the links you provided Todd and read thru page after page and couldn't verify anything specifically about the Cash 5 drawings. I did finally discover this article:March 24, 2002, a second set of Cash 5 numbers is drawn due to a crack in the #24 ball during the live drawing. The Lottery pays out on both sets of winning numbers.I tried locating the article previously mentioned concerning the computerized drawings but can't re-locate the item. I don't know if anything's changed

Delware Lottery renews contract with Scientific Games
A cooperative services agreement is where the vendor basically does everything, from marketing the game through the supply chain. Here's a link to the cooperative services page at Scientific Games: http://www.scientificgames.com/sgcorp/coop_services.aspAs far as I know, Scientific Games does not offer a drawing computer; just the systems that track the numbers played (among other things).I do agree with Greg as far as Delaware's awful computerized drawings are concerned. If I were a Delaware re

What's next for the N.C. lottery
Hey Todd, I am actually in line to meet with the new lottery director for NC. I am a marketing development consultant and will be involved in the NC lotto. If all goes well, I will secure a permanent position with the NC Lottery Board. Anyway, I have been a Lottery Post visitor for quite sometime and have observed one common goal: eliminate computerized drawings! This site makes a great case and the petition caps it off. Trust me; I will do everything in my power to ensure the NC lotto use

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
as you know indiana is a great state....but as far as the lottery goes it could be voted the worst....we've even had members of this site take this to the council in indiana to try and get a measure on the ballot so people could vote on if they wanted computerized drawings or ball drawings but all the major players behind the scenes with the lottery commission made sure that it didn't even get to a vote.with the scratch off scandal and sales steadily dipping in indiana the only game worth having

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
I signed the petition last week. I played a bit of Hoosier Lottery (Lotto and Lucky 5) while on vacation a few weeks ago, however I'm finished with them. I haven't won anything recently (since they went to all computerized drawings). I have family living in Indiana and visit 2-4 times a year. Before computer drawings, I won $203 and $206 in Lucky 5 (evening draw), playing mulit draws. That was over a period of 7 or 8 months. On the $203 prize, I was one number on one ball away from $50,000 (
