N.C. Lottery's image takes hit
definitely a PR faux pas...whose side is this guy on? Both vendors certainly did their best to educate (influence) the powers that be and SGMS got caught being more blatant than usual. Nothing more, nothing less - business as usual except it is very rare for Commissioners to have to excuse themselves from voting on much of anything - particularly the biggest contract their agency will ever award. Better for them to step down IMO.

Proving a system works
Playing the lottery is gambling. If a system could guarantee a win most of the time, it wouldn't be gambling. When one gambles, one accept the possibility of losing and courts recognize that. I doubt if any court would hear a complaint about a lottery system not producing a winner. Besides, most systems are sold with a disclaimer that the product is to be used for entertainment only. When one gamble using the product, the contract is voided.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot to be a quarter-billion for Friday
I would think, a contract with a couple of ex-SEALS, would ensure all the safety you would ever need. I don't think the expense would cause any dent in the $115M you will have. You won't need it forever, just for a year or two. Read all the articles on that idiot Whitaker, and pay a lawyer to tell you any time you get close to acting like him.

B.C. lottery officials extend deadline to settle fight over jackpot
This is one of the reason I really dislike Lottery Pools. People who never or rarely participate in the pool don't chip in, come out of the wood-work claiming that they were part of the pool in the first place The people who are involved in pools need to always have some type of contract to avoid this mess. Me, I perfer to play only.

Man let lottery winner go first
Likely as not she'll be back. But she's a prideful cat. I have to switch her off or she'll begin to see this whole LP thing as an audition. Try to sell herself to Hollywood. She's always been a loaner...... every since she was weened I've had her on loan from a guy who's now dead. So we don't have what either of us would call a binding contract. I don't want to give her any ideas.Jack

Who Would Make The Best LD?
I disagree on Indiana. I would accept the job from ANY state with computerized drawings just so I could rip out the computers, pull the lottery machines out of the back room, and sign a TV broadcast contract. Then I'd hire a great marketing guru, trumpet the event of reverting back to real drawings, and bring in record revenues.Any state disbelieves that I could do it? Try me.

Clever lottery players all win on handshake agreement
You always wonder if the winner will welch on the agreement. It is a real risk with everything we hear on the news. Yes, an agreement is nice but not a guarantee. Notes are nice and a binding contract but with 2 million people will run. I can understand #5 but I would have gone in on the agreement.

NJ House rejects lottery appropriation for teachers
It's pretty sad, you have a specific number of teachers in the state, and they can't just send them a check? They have to go through a contract type process to distribute the money? I say let it ride and at the end of the year whatever is in the pool, divide it equally among all current teachers. Let it be a bonus as a way of saying we appreciate your efforts in our state .If I got a 50 buck bonus I wasn't expecting, I would think MOST teachers would be thankful for it.C.K.

What Would You Do If You Were Lottery Dir
i would make sure that the state had a contract that they ALWAYS use ball drawings for as long as the lottery is in affect.they would not be allowed to change to computerized drawings.

Your CD
Congratulations! You just won the lottery. After you get your financial and personal lives settled, you decide you want to record an album. You contact a record company that specializes in the music you want to sing and they offer you a contract. You take it. What type of music is it?Also, please explain and name an artist or two that would be similar so we can all have an idea of what you're talking about.
