I don't think it's because of the third drawing in a week. People tend to buy lottery tickets on a per-week basis, not a per-drawing basis. I suspect that many people who were buying multiple tickets for the Wednesday and Saturday drawings stuck with the same weekly expenditure or maybe added one more ticket. Agreed, what else can you possibly do! Mr. Panouses is very aware of the reasons I put into my post above. He knows what most people don't know.
