If math could win the lottery there would be no lotteries. Using math to explain the odds
is all that is needed because it tells me how I am doing. Anytime I win more then the odds
can account for simply means that I have performed better then the expected odds. The
odds are calculated based on the number of possible outcomes vs the tickets played. Every
time a person wins while playing fewer plays then the calculated ratio of prize to tickets
then they have prefor

Is it worth buying a large number of tickets once a year?
What's fixed is the total number of lottery combinations.
If there are 13.9 million combinations we like to say the
odds are 1 in 13.9 million because one dollar buys one
combination giving the purchaser one chance to win.
Fly to a state where you get two combinations for a dollar
the total number of combinations haven't changed, but the
odds of 1 in 13.9 million are 1 in 6.9 million because now
you have two combinations in hand for one/dollar.
In the same sense, buying two ticket

Florida's Accursed New Game CASH POP
So I saw this game advertised in a local convenience store yesterday for the first time and because I'm a nerd and love any excuse to put off doing what I actually should be doing with my time, I started doing some research on the game. I found it interesting that the Florida Lottery site - as well as several of the other state lottery sites I checked where the game is offered - only lists the Odds of WINNING a prize versus listing the odds/probability that each multiplier will be included as th

The way the digits are distributed in the groups has no bearing other than that's the way the codes
are developed.
Step-1 has 3 choices.
If set to 1 then we are limited to the digits in group 1 or digits (0-1-2)
If set to 2 then we are limited to the digits in group 2 or digits (3-4-5-6)
If set to 3 then we are limited to the digits in group 3 or digits (7-8-9)
Step-2 has 2 choices 1 = play odd and 2=play even
Step-3 has 2 choices 1=lowest remaining digit

TV station reports on the Kansas Lottery
Some say it's harmless entertainment. Others say it can lead to a dangerous addiction. Some say its a simple way to raise millions for important state programs. Others say it's a game that takes advantage of the poor. But, however you feel about the Lottery it's here to stay.
The old adage, 'it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game' does not apply here.
Tony Trotter says he's been playing the lottery for years.
I figure somebody has got to win somebody's got to wi

Help Me Understand This 😭
Does it mean we have fewer people playing MFL in the 31 states where it's available?
Very probably, but when random numbers are involved, you can never rule out random streaks of losing and winning.
Am I looking at the games wrongly? As a player should the focus be on the odds of winning or how often people are winning regardless?
Look at it this way - If somebody else wins the jackpot, are they going to send you a check? If not, you should focus on the odds of you winning.

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
If one PB ticket is up against 292.2 million odds and an additional ticket cuts those odds in half (so say you) then every additional tickets cuts the odds of the ticket bought just before it in half, no? As for the books in the casino bookshops they did sell Beat the Dealer and John Scarne books but gamblers tend to be more interested in hype than facts.
