Mega Millions Megaball Challenge 7/1/05
My RNG picked 25 lines for the MegaMillions 07/05/05 drawing using the logic programmed into it. It only considers numbers that have hit in previous drawings so 53,54 and 55 was not in the mix. I may not play its picks but this will give me a chance to see if its logic need to be revised. I was going to back test it for Friday's drawing, but I think the results are more creditable if I don't know the results of the drawing ahead of time. Good luck on your picks.RJOh

Which is your school of thought?
RJOH, I completely agree with your statement. It's possible to correctly guess the numbers, but it's not possible to predict the numbers. These two things are not the same. If you have ever won by picking your own numbers then you guessed correctly. If it were possible to predict winning numbers, then you would need to only play one set of numbers because you would know (for sure) which numbers are going to hit.So using a system, or a wheel, or a mathematical formula that gives you more than one

Which is your school of thought?
Lotteries are totally random and unpredictable events if they are honest,RJOh, I don't exactly agree with this statement. Certain groups of numbers where the majority of numbers are likely to appear ARE predictable at particular times! The predicament in dealing with this phenomenon is in wheeling the potential groups of numbers, and keeping it economical enough to work. The easiest and generally most accurate way to eliminate excess numbers from a potential group is to utilize average sums . Error Correction
RJOh, I totally agree, error correction in your forcasting model is very important. This is something that has hardly been addessed here at the LP. I've been able to put together something at the number level, but not at the combination level..... As most of you know I use a filter approach. Invariably, 1 or more of the filters is in error to the actual draw. So what I've done is rated the numbers after filtering. By tracking the rating I've found certain values keep coming up over and over...

has anyone ever won big using a GH system
Ever wonder why all those claims by software vendors about their software winning big in the past only worked for one person per lottery in spite of the fact that they have thousands of users? Each lottery drawing only has one set of winning numbers and if any software was really picking the best numbers to play for a particular drawing then those numbers would be the same for all its users. Some software may be helpful for analyzing past drawing histories but when it comes to picking numbers t

Did the Fortune cookie strike again?
It could be that someone has produced lottery software that comes up with the same combinations to play for a particular lottery for all its users. Lotteries only have one set of winning numbers per drawing, so if software was really predicting the best numbers to play for a particular lottery then those numbers w
