The CA Super sucks because it starts out at only $7 Million and by the time Taxes are taken; snip there aint enough for our group. From the results sounds like every game your pool played sucked. You guys have no strategy or expectations, you just spend a lot of money.

LOL. Every now and then someone in our pool at work will give me a slip with numbers from a fortune cookie, and say, Hey it might work . I just take it, but I never play those numbers. Which is good because they never win. Of course if they did win, I would be very unhappy with myself.

My office pool has a total of 11 members, each of whom pay $4 every 2 weeks on payday. With that, I buy 3, MegaMilions, 3 Powerball, and 2 Lotto tickets. With lower tier winnings, I buy additional tickets. Over the 2 weeks, we usually win lower tier prizes, just can't seem to hit the big one.

That's a good point ... I was thinking about that as I was typing my original post. Maybe a person only plays one MM or PB ticket for a smaller jackpot but for a $400 or $500 million jackpot they spend $20 or $50 on their own, which would be sort of like a lottery pool with the extra tickets. Still, I think it's interesting ... with all the groups or lottery pools that must exist for every drawing, that none of them seem to be hitting a jackpot. Good question! I think it's been at least a year and a half since a pool won. Further proof that buying tons of quick picks doesn't guarantee a win. It only takes being in the right place at the right time.
