Illinois Senate approves Internet lottery ticket sales trial
Illinois gamblers would be able to buy lottery tickets by computer in a program the Senate approved Thursday. The bill, sponsored by Sen. John Cullerton, D-Chicago, sets up a pilot program to try online lottery ticket sales. Cullerton said Internet sales could eventually generate as much as $100 million for the state. The measure passed 32-24 and moves to the House.Republicans feared the measure would encourage problem gambling and increase personal debt because buyers could use credit cards. Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
Sorry to rant, but one last reason this change is bad for Powerball. Before the change, Powerball had better odds than MegaMillions (130m:1 vs 120m:1). Now MegaMillions has a substantial advantage (130m:1 vs 146m:1). People on the border may decide to play MegaMillions over Powerball. Rabbitfoot:Unfortunately, most people are under the same impression. Indiana's jackpot doesn't begin to roll over until after the second consecutive drawing with no winner. Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes
I personally would like to see even less Megaballs with greater odds coming from an increase in white balls with bigger prizes for 5 white balls and no Megaball.

Boxing numbers, how is it done?.....
Quote: Originally posted by Wolfpack24 on February 21, 2005I had a friend tell me some people know ways to increase their odds on playing the right numbers.its very simple. if a 7 hasnt appeared in 23 days, then they are highly increasing their odds by playing the combos with a 7. if a 7 is drawn the next day, the odds that they will hit are MUCH better. also some people track odd and even digits, high and low digits. consecutive numbers, doubles, triples, pure numbers. you can track anything i
