NJ Cash 5 game to get larger starting jackpot
Of course bigger jackpot is better but a bigger pool of combinations isn't better. I don't call a $25K increase bigger when they also decrease the odds of winning by more than 300,000! I've done the math on this and in no way does it benefit the player. The overall payout is actually LESS now. They could've easily raised the prize minimum without changing the matrix. Basically they're just finding an excuse to screw players.

Nonlinear regression to predict lotteries
Hi RJOh, My standard method of playing is to use nonlinear regression to predict numbers. I choose 15n and use a conditional wheel to get my lines which I filter with usual filters as sums, AC, Last digits, Decades. I am let with about 10 lines. I won many prices, like 2/5, 3/5 or 4/5. The fifth number is always difficult to get. Last weeks, I was working with WinHunter to find numbers to eliminate and didn't played. On the 26 aug 2014, when I checked my method, I saw that I

Ehr. Mah. Gawd. Okay... waaayyyt? First we get the 917 following the 029. Then the 612 plays. Then... another 527?! It's like a friggin' roller coaster! It's so thrill-packed, I'm barely noticing I lost! But back to it... okay, that original pool of doubles stands firm, but this latest play, made my whittled down pool, sadly, widen out to: 01 04 05 09 12 13 24 25 29 34 35 39 48 Too big (but, the wider the selection sample, the more likely we have a double immanent). My regular w

Good gosh!!! You said it, Calady! And holy poop! This latest play, 612 wow. I'm disappointed, sure. But wow. All I can say. But back to the doubles: that original pool stands as firm as ever. But now my reduced list has become different, and larger: 04 05 12 13 26 29 36 39 57 The only one I can, I think, safely remove from the list, is the 13. Leaving me with too many choices to just cover the spread . If I were forced to reduce it by now half, arm tied behind my back, I'd take o

Wow - in narrowing down my own doubles boxes list for the possibility of it appearing Midday; two of the six best, that I'd already narrowed down from (what I think is) a highly-likely pool of 18... were 12 48!

Illinois to fire private lottery operator
States make more overall dollars on instant tickets, but would prefer if you spent every lottery dollar on draw games. It's more profitable. Disproportionate? Maybe one top price remaining or, in the event that there is more than one, it's because a game just didn't sell for a long time and no one really paid into the total prize pool in the first place. I'm not sure from where you are receiving this information, but it's incorrect.

Wind, can you breakdown the above percentiles for P3 , P4, assuming the pool size is 0 through 7. Thanks

NY Lottery Lump Sum Payout On Scratch Tickets Is Higher. How Come?
The lump sum is the real prize not the annuity even though that's the one advertised......some states invest at different rates thus the annuity is higher. Kind of like the differences between Powerball and Mega Millions. If you adjust the prizes for cost they will still be different due to the way each group invests the pool. If NY scratcher lump sum is higher at the same odds and price then it is a better deal. But many times this will not be the case

Pick 3/4 Trade Secret. once read you must keep it a Secret
Great post, WinD. I'm with you on every point. If I can add to it though.... Pick a band of 20 non-doubles boxes, say, for the D3. What are the odds of the next play coming up with one of those numbers?... Odds are at play, in such a situation. Iffy odds. Change the question. What are the odds of a number from that pool coming up ever again?... Suddenly, odds are no longer at play. Because unless a meteor hits the Earth, or they outlaw the game tomorrow... 20 out of 120 boxes = 17%
