The jackpot hasnt been hit in a while and we now have a huge jackpot. I am not a fan of this game though as it used to be refresing to have a way to go after a 20-60k win a day and have a realistic shot at winning it. Now if you hit four out of five your are really screwed. They should increase that prize to 250 bucks and they would stil have a jackpot at this point that would be over a million. And how bout instead of trying to hoodwink the players by changing the game and leading the playe

Sign the Megaplier Petition
Mana:The Megaplier is a method multistate lottery games use to increase ticket sales for that game, and to offer players the chance to increase their winnings on lower-tier prizes. It does not apply to a jackpot win. Here's how it works:When a player buys a MegaMillions ticket, he or she is given the option of purchasing the Megaplier for another dollar. The Megaplier, or prize multiplier, is selected after the draw, and will usually range from 2 to 5. So if you win a second, third fourth, fift

2 years of Mass Millions losing
I see the Mass Millions jackpot was last won 4/4/02. Nice to see they are coming up to the 2 year anniversary of losing, with the jackpot plodding upwards at about $330,000 a drawing, now at $49 mil. That's a lot of money, but there's no excitement, news or publicity - and no increase in sales. In fact, the jackpot increase is getting smaller even as the jackpot grows. lt increased $356,000 between drawings on a $9 million jackpot in Dec 2002. 200 drawings without a winner. It will be so nice

This suggests that the odds of the jackpot rolling over yet again are 72%, the odds of there being one winner are 24%, the odds of their being two winners are about 4%, three winners, 0.5%, and four winners 0.03%.The increase in the jackpot estimated is actually less than what was predicted for the previous $150 million d

S.C. lottery to make more than expected, board says
The South Carolina lottery should generate $80 million more than the state Board of Economic Advisors expected, and that could help buy school buses, cover scholarship programs or increase public school spending.Last year, the Board of Economic Advisors projected that the lottery would generate about $173 million during the fiscal year that ends June 30. On Thursday, the board raised that forecast to $253 million as high interest in big Powerball jackpots juiced lottery sales. It's absolutely wo

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Quote: Originally posted by 6of6 on February 02, 2004 Thanks for the stats prob, never looked at the odds for the jackpot before, very interesting, But I had my tickets when mm got to that 350 mil mark, that was when it was split 3 or 4 ways , the only thing I remember about that jackpot was ( besides that I didn't win of course) was that one winner was a 18 or 19 year old girl who bought like 5 quick pics at a gas station, never played before and won. Well, as I see it, there are circumstances

Lump sum Vs Annuity
considering the current tax rates and the likelihood of a vast increase in the near future i'd take the money as cash now.
