Do Wealthy People Play The Lottery?
rosie, it used to be the biggest scam going back in the day and I'm sure others here will remember as well. When the Food Stamp criteria was loose , most anyone could go down and get 'em...and a BUNCH of 'em at that. Problem was that people were taking these food vouchers and selling them to others FOR CASH and making out like you wouldn't believe!!!!
Well, the government started to get hip to what was happening and tightened up the criteria rules big time. Then, those that really did need 'e

Do U Spend More Than $500 A Week On Lottery !!
Well, I'm ex-military as well...I fought in the Gulf War (Kuwait) and then went back to be with my boys in IRAQ during all that mess. Only difference was that I was a contractor when working in IRAQ.
We all used to joke around with this sort of thing in terms of which unit was stronger based on the caliber of men...it was all innocent and nobody started crying. However, I will respect your request, and others, to leave this area alone. Keep in mind, though, that this is mainly an Air Force, M

Crow,
Hang in there my friend!
I know...been a big thorn in all our sides. I had mentioned in a post last month that a friend of mine was IT an auditor for KPMG and worked on operations with the state gambling commission. Pre draw is done as a so called 'system test', and they would run off an inconsistant range of pre-draws (anywhere from 4 - 10 per draw) prior to actual. You cannot convince me that that is not by design to throw the odds to the house!
I am positive we could do some da

New Maryland Lottery Director appointed
Four4me, I sometimes wait in the store where I purchase my lottery, until the results post on the LotteryPost,(which post before MDSL post), and give out the results to the store owners and whoever is still playing or comes in and want to know the results. The regulars know that I can pull up the results by 2005-2010 (8:05-8:10). They always say, I have the inside tip on the numbers. I've told them time and time again that it's LotteryPost.
When I spoke about all of the money that MDSL makes,

Paula Bethea named interim S.C. Lottery chief
The S.C. lottery has hired one of the games' original commissioners to be its interim executive director, an official said Wednesday.
Paula Harper Bethea, a Bluffton civic leader and McNair Law Firm executive, is expected to take over daily operations of the $1 billion-a-year lottery later this month, said Tim Madden, lottery commission chairman.
Bethea will succeed executive director Ernie Passailaigue. He resigned July 1 to start the Arkansas lottery, which is expected to begin sales lat

Scientific Games to close Texas plant
Lottery operator Scientific Games Corp said it plans to close its plant in San Antonio, Texas, citing adequate production capacity in its other plants worldwide, a move that will affect about 350 jobs.
Some of the plant's technicians and managers will be offered the opportunity to relocate to other Scientific Games operations, the company said in a statement.
Scientific Games also offered severance packages, arrangements for continuity of health insurance, and outplacement assistance to th

Interesting how the word greedy is only applied to the players and never the house.
In general, you are not allowed to own your own lottery machine because it could be a first step in running your own private lottery, and as the older players will remember, the private .. uh.. operations: paid better, paid faster, charged less, and were tax free.... well that's what I hea

What would you do if you won 10 Billion dollars..
Agree with Tntea. Shock is definitely the word! The whole concept is too large to handle. I can't possibly answer that question. Most of us truly have no idea what we'd do if we won even $50 million. Just one billion is 1,000 million.
Anyway, I think smaller jackpots are better. If I win the $42 million Florida jackpot tonight, that will certainly be enough money to last me for the rest of my life. How I take it would be a tough decision, but I'll manage! lol $1.4M for 30 years or $2
