Took that $500 ticket I won the other day to publix and cashed it - they always complain they don't have money for tickets - after a hassle they finally coughed up - went over to the machine and popped 5 $20 in to get 4 $25M ticks - lo and behold I get this one ticket with all spaces full of numbers - took me a minute to figure it was $400 - that ain't shabby. the other 3 were duds. Info Alert regarding scratch off tickets! If the store clerk scans your ticket and then says, we don't have enough cash to pay the ticket , be sure that the ticket isn't marked as PAID before you leave the store. Recently a guy won $500 on a Jumbo Bucks. The cashier ran the scratch off through and told him there wasn't enough cash in the register to pay him. When lottery officials say it's verified , what they typically mean is they've viewed the in-store video of the lottery machine in the store where the winning ticket was bought, and have matched the date/time on the ticket to the date/time on the video. Found one of the new games!!! It's the ONLY one I'm buying unless it's a winner. I'm stretched too thin until next week.....so I am posting a picture of the ticket before scratching it!!!! I just happened to be there right as they were loading the machine, got the first ticket they have sold!!!!! My favorite number #000......... I will post the results later tonight or tomorrow, etc... not going to scratch it until I get home tonight and get my head right. I'm sure some of you know what I mean.

Glad to see all you guys winning. I can't wait until I go to Orlando next month, sound like Florida have prize out now. Today won $45 and I won $45 yesterday. $90 so far for the weekend. Thinking of going back out 007 is the next ticket in the machine and the numbers are going down. Maybe they have 1k ticket between 001-007 lol.

Illinois midday drawing airs at 12:40 p.m. and the evening drawing airs at 9:22 p.m. Before Illinois allowed players to purchase Powerball tickets, I bought a Little Lotto (now Lucky Day Lotto) ticket at 9:10 p.m. I don't know if this is still true on days when there isn't a Powerball drawing. I tried getting a Powerball ticket shortly before 9 p.m. one time, and the clerk told me the machine shut down at 8:30 p.m. So I don't know if that time was just for the Powerball game, or for all games

Jones could have bought the ticket in a vending machine or from the clerk, but the only way they could know where Jones got the ticket is from what she said. There is a reason stores put trash dumpster as far away from the store as they can and if Jones said she got the ticket out of the dumpster, she was bragging. Since the footage was viewed after the check was issued, there was no reason for Jones to say anything.
