All a matter of luck
>if 70% of players used their own personal numbers (instead of qp's)...i honestly believe that they would hit 70% of the jackpots. correct me if i'm wrong.<Of course. Since it's random.

All a matter of luck
It seems that 70% of winners use quick picks. Which fits because 70% of the players buy quick picks. It would seem that if lottery systems were worth a damn, they would take a higher percentage of the jackpots.

2 Winning Powerball Tickets
Checked out the links. Thanks. Did you do any good? I sure hope you got some money out of it. I can't wait to see who the actual winners were. We always have a pool at work for the high jackpots. Could be a group of people on one of the tickets.

Saturday Powerball Results
We'll find out in a couple of hours! Normally MUSL is able to determine all the winners, etc., within about an hour, but with the big jackpots it usually takes a couple of hours.

The Texas Multi-State Lottery Battle!
We need to abolish both MM and PB in favor of a national federally sponsored lottery that could be used for big public works projects like building a 100-foot-tall wall between the U.S. and Mexico! It could be a 5-60 format with a 1-60 powerball. Maybe two powerballs . . . It would generate half billion dollar jackpots. For an extra sweetener, all winnings could be income tax free like they do in Norway. Orangeman

Will Texas Join.....
How interesting, it now seems, according to the news on the BGL.com home page today, that Texas may join both PB and MM. Seems like a good idea for the players who would be able to avail themselves of both great jackpots without going out of the state.

Vermont Joins Powerball
megamillionaire,Mega Millions has had more big jackpots than Powerball, and that's a fact. You can find the actual count in this thread. In fact, you can see Mega Millions grew $1 million faster than the last run with last night's rollover. You may be right, Texas may jon Powerball, but I'll put money on Texas joining Mega Millions. How much you up for?

Mega Millions - 06/20/2003
You guys/gals are going to buy all those tickets? Those are a lot of numbers!! Most people that win the big lottery jackpots win it with Quick Pick . Don't waste too much money on the $180 million jackpot. Save it for the $500 million+ jackpot! $-)

Mega Millions getting boring
Personally, I consider the actual number of times that a jackpot is greater than $95 million to be the number of times it was greater than $95 million. Your initial point was hinting that Powerball somehow had an edge when looked at from your perspective. My point is that no matter which point of view you take, Mega Millions has had more jackpots greater than $95 million, and if that is your definition of an exciting game, then Mega Millions is more exciting.
