Las Night Mega Million Winner
The winning ticket was purchased in Circle Food Market located on Tenafly Road in Englewood NJ.It was a quick pick ticket and unfortunately, the winner chose lump sum. NJ lets the player switch though. Let's hope that she or he will come to senses and collect the huge jackpots over the 26 annual installments.

Las Night Mega Million Winner
As I understand those games, only the Jackpot winners are FORCED to receive their winnings in annunity payments, everybody else get a their winnings in a lump sum and jackpot winners are less than .00000001% of all the players. More than 99.9% of the players get their winnings in lump sum. Until you actually win one of those jackpots, you have little to complain about.RJOh

LottoMania
Hello Cash,Hello JustOnce, I too, would like to see all States with both BGMM and Powerball. However,I would not want to see an increase in balls because of it.Imagine, dual jackpots back to back.lottoscorp

$500 million jackpot...when?
Back when the game was 1 in about 76 million, the jackpot got up to $363 million, so it's possible to get to $500 million with the current odds.I don't Powerball will make it, though, because of the $25 million growth limiter on record jackpots.

Write new Exec. Dir. of the PA Lottery
Greg,You have to keep in mind that when PA started Super 6 as a 6/69 they were still on their own and created the game in that manner, hoping no one would hit, the jackpots would build fast and they would be in Powerball/Mega Millions territory. You are right though, the lower level prizes for it do stink and I'd love to see the game replaced.

A JACKPOT is less likely to be split IF
I read an article by Gail Howard sometime back that stated if you played higher numbers (30 and above) and won, you would less likely have to share the jackpot because of the number of players who played birthdays and anniversary dates. Personally I don't worry about sharing the jackpot with another player, I just would like to get a share of the jackpot. When the jackpots are over a $100M and over a million combinations are sold, there are still many single ticket winners.RJOh

Lotto TEXAS
Brad, SMD: You both need to think about this. You NEED a large population base, as well as impossible jackpot odds, to create incredible jackpots. Remember that the LARGER the population base, the LARGER the rollovers, which more than offset the higher the probability of a jackpot winner.

Lotto TEXAS
But with that you have to realize with a bigger population base you are going to use more of the 135,000,000 possible combinations. You usually get higher jackpots with lower ticket sales and lots of rollovers.Brad

Lotto TEXAS
If Texas or any other state joins Mega Millions, they will NEVER and I mean NEVER, reach a $200 Million jackpot. It's really funny that the game has been around for about 7 or 8 months now and the closest they have come to the promised $300-500 Million jackpots is $165 Million.I've been surprised how often Mega Millions seems to be hit, considering the odds.

PA Super-6
PA is big enough that they should replace with another jackpot lotto game. Hot Lotto is perfect for smaller states that need the higher volume in order to get decent jackpots.
