Maryland players...
No offense taken. I just like the odds in the Maryland Lotto, and the fact that I get two plays for a buck. I stopped playing the Lotto for about 7 or 8 years, my guess, and returned when The Big Game lured me with its jumbo jackpots.

Remember Powerball's New Rules?
CASH,I agree with your assessment. Although I wounder if MUSL should really be limiting someone from winning too much . The whole reason MM and PB changed their odds was to have super huge jackpots. If one person like Jack Whittiker (sp?) is the only one to hit then so be it.Don't get me wrong though, I do like the idea of the Match 5 Bonus, I just think the cap should be a bit higher and that the jackpot doesn't need to break a record for it to be in play.

Mega Millions and Powerball Synchronized
Using a thirty year annuity may add the benefit of advertising larger jackpots and creating more hype. Don't know if has been commented on, but hype is what really generates the sales.

Mega Millions and Powerball Synchronized
Their jackpots amount were the same but they have different annuity length which affected their cash value. MM started with a better cash value, but Powerball had a bigger increase in its jackpot value during the first two rollover. I didn't compare their cash value at the start, so I have no idea what they were. I see Cash only has the facts. Thanks Cash only. RJOh

Remember Powerball's New Rules?
I wonder how many more jackpot games will cap jackpots or limit rollovers? (as opposed to games where all prize money is paid out after each draw, first prize or not)

NY subscription winner a LOSER
You don't know what will happen tomorrow, let alone 20+ years down the road. NEVER allow the lottery to choose an annuity for you. If you're in Massachusetts, DO NOT play either the 6/42 or 6/49 because both jackpots are _still_ annuity-only. If the game you play still requires the choice made WHEN you play, choose CASH/LUMP SUM.

To CASH onlyI use to travel to Michigan to play the BigGame, but after it became the MegaMillions and was added to the lotteries in Ohio, I had no reason to travel to Michigan. I doubt if WINFAL will ever have a jackpot worth the trip. I only travel 100 mi. for jackpots over $100M.RJOh

Michigan's Winfall

I'm not sure if Michigan promoted the game as being for bigger jackpots than that. If they did, I could see where you are coming from.

Ohio649P for 11/30/02
To Cash OnlyOhio649P has been among the nation's top five jackpots a good part of the year and Ohio has Buckeye5, a 5/37 for $100000 game that can be played everyday, so with Megamillion game available now along with daily pick3's and pick4's game, Ohio has a game for every type of lottery player. Ohio will not be changing their games in the near futureRJOh
